Of course in my day we had to walk 25 miles to the pageant without shoes, it were 125 in the shade, Santa would thrash us with a broken bottle and if we were lucky we'd get to suck on a wet rag.

well in my day we had to walk 47 miles to the pageant with the neighbour's cat on our heads cause we couldn't afford a hat, Santa would thrash us with his rubber thongs and if we were lucky we'd get to drink the sweat out of our sodden sneakers! Eew !

You had sneakers? You were lucky. We had to get up at 3:00am, walk 55 miles, backwards, with only a torn up Christmas card on our feet
