yeah, i might see if i can flog the wireless broadband we have here and mum's laptop for the night so we can do the webcam... just might be easier to see than a phone in someone's hands...

Actually... it ended up being the battery...
The boss simply took the battery out left it for a few minutes... put it back in, turned it on... PRESTO... working laptop.
Yes, I felt pretty stupid but as I have little to no experience with laptops I felt
a little better...
(especially since another person at my work had the same trouble & they have MORE experience than I do...)

question being, will someone be able to bring their own laptop with internet or shall i bring mine?
EDIT- before i spark up too loudly, i'm not positive my mum's laptop has a webcam.... fairly sure but not certain...

I could bring ours- don't have a web cam though if someones got one- got internet access via a modem in my phone.
Can see who's on SAFF for the night too  suspect it'll be quiet

well we've just gotten one of those little wireless usb modems Vodafone sells so that'd probably be the easiest option... just depends on how good the coverage is there...

I've already spoken of the laptop and i use the modem for my desktop PC as my house is not ADSL compatible.
