	On the 17th !!!!!! of this Month ! My friend Darren and I went to see the Dark Knight (only 4 of us in the cinema which was awesome) and he told me (later confirmed by one of the Candy Bar attenders) that it was being bought out...By that fricken Church !!!!! 	Yup, The the new major cinema complex being made where the old one (Behind Hungry Jacks) is being made this isn't a major surprise. 	I remember when that cinema opened! The Hindley cinemas used to have two sites before the current "Cosmopolitan" (it was called when it opened), one is now a blacked-out closed down building on the North side of Hindley just up the road from the current site which was cinema 2 and 3, and Cinema #1 (where incidentally I saw Back to the Ftuture, The Hunt for Red October and Indy Jones and the Last Crusade) was where the current Adelaide Symphony Orchestra cafe thing is. That means there are no mainstream cinemas in the CBD at the moment! I was shattered when the Regent closed down. I saw every Star Wars film there except Revenge of the Sith. -----signature----- To protect the world from devastation... R

The thing I find the funniest is it was the EDGE church members who were complaining about seeing us getting changed. I thought EDGE ministers liked that sort of thing

And I remember when there were the two Hindley cinemas...I saw Edward Scissorhands in the cinemas on the south side. They turned the cinemas on the north side into a great club / live venue for a while. Saw a couple of great international DJs there....and TISM played there at one point (missed the gigs dammmit). 	They had a Cinema where Timezone Meridian used to be huh ? I remember seeing Back To The Future 3 there.... Man I hate it when things change Remember Downtown ? btw LTG I remember the sharkhead....I think it was for a Surf shop. But I DO remember it. I think Magic Mountain called Dibs on it...then they closed...Jinxed Shark ? 	First the Regent, then the Academy, now the Greater Union?? Will the Piccadilly be next?? That one looks like it hasn't been upgraded since the 70's or 80's. Saw Kung Fu Panda there. The city is a central place to meet friends to go to the movies, such a shame to see them go. I guess I wont be able to see Quantum of Solace in town then, in November.

That's right, it moved to Magic Mountain! I'd forgotten that. I used to go to Magic Mountain every school holidays when I used to come over from Canberra to visit my Dad. My dad used to work for Holdens and they used to have the social club movie days at Piccadilly... but then they did an upgrade to some of the cinemas and so moved them to Academy... I think.
