I am a colorado native who has never been skiing. why you ask? I HATE THE COLD, I WOULD PREFER IT TO BE 105 DEGREES THAN 50.

well, here is Vegas, the summers are a nice 120 degrees, but the winters at 30-50 degrees are just brutally cold!

Being from Connecticut originally, I still love snow and I am finally comfortable around midnight in December (as evidenced by my standing around in a tank top in Phoenix last friday!).
I do miss the snow because it does make it festive but after 19 blizzards in 1994, I had to draw the line and move to AZ.

I am an Arizona native and I love the hot summers, but I love the ability to enjoy the 70s during the winter and drive 4 hours north and play in the snow.

Imperial_Birrer, you can move down here to Phoenix if you'd like. Me? I'm going back to the snow and cold in Colorado. Give it to me!!!
I'm born and raised in CO, but was stationed in Orlando FL for 2 years and Hawaii for 4, plus have lived in AZ for the last 2 years. I miss the change of season, and will NOT miss 6+ months of >100 degree weather. I'll miss the people, but not the weather.

Try living in South Dakota where 70% of the time we don't even reach 60.
The only good thing about winter there is that I could ice-fish to my heart's content.
At least I'm looking forward to moving to CO in late 2004/early 2005.

I love the snow, I enjoy driving in it and sliding and I enjoy seeing the ground covered in white, which in many ways freaks out Texans when they come to visit Utah. The only part I hate is when you get like 16+ inches dumped in a day and the plows take forever to get your neighborhood plowed so you can leave. I don't like being couped up in things, like a house where all I have around me is family. 
But I enjoy Utah too much to want to move away from it.
