So I picked up all 4 preview figures at the Target near P-Town mall last night. There are still some there. I also went to B&N and picked up "Labyrinth of Evil." After suffering from a horrible geek-gasm, I went home.
Anyone know where I can find Anakin's Starfighter? Toys R Us wasn't open when I got there.

I didn't see a Clearance toy thread so I'll just post this here...
I was in Walmart in La Junta yesterday and they have their Lego X-Wing (Dagobah) set that was $50 on clearance for $13 so if you don't have this one they had about 10 of them left.

Believe it or not but La Junta actually has a 24-hour Super Walmart. The toys are on the east end and in the first rows past the jewelry. They also have the OTC action figures with the cloth robes for $2. And the Lego snow speeders for $5.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!11!1111!!!
I need more Snowspeeders!
Hmmm...according to Mapquest...
"Your estimated travel time is 1 hour, 32 minutes for 60.29 miles of travel in 7 steps."
Hmmm...3 hours on the road just for toys. Is it worth it? Although...Gilbu just recently did it, so maybe it is...

are you factoring in gas money and food money (cause that's a LONG way and you might have to stop for food)
That *might* raise the price up a tad...

Hmm...2 hour drive time...about $6 in gas.
Food? If I eat before leaving, it's no biggie.
If I wake up early Saturday and be back before Jenny comes over, can I go, Rachel? LOL.

OK...woke up about 2 hours ago...
Was still thinking about going to La Junta for toys...
So I made Rachel talk me out of it.
The discussion was...
"Would you drive to Larkspur for toys?"
"Well, no."
"Don't you already HAVE 7 Snowspeeders, of which only 1 fits next to your AT-AT while the other 6 sit in a storage box?"
"Well, yes."
"Don't you already HAVE another X-Wing, of which that sits in a storage box, too?"
"Well, yes."
So...I guess...I'm not going. LOL.

I was just talking to friend last night about how when GL first made the deal for Star Wars, he took all the merchandising rights. I guess the studio people thought, "sure, who cares?". My friend was telling me how things like Star Trek and Superman would have like- one toy. Star Wars was the first thing to start making toys out of just about everything.
Genius.

yah, theres all kinds of info about that in the dvd appendices. Absolutely brilliant. They talk about how before starwars, movies did very little merchandising. There wasnt even an action figure available for Christmas 77...the stores sold empty boxes with pix of sw figures.
wow
