Last night I was able to keep our friend from winning by making his level 5 Teddy Bear "Undead" and then cursing him with a fear of the undead so he had to run away.
I loved my Cute Shoulder Dragon, +4 to females, +2 to males. And the super duper hat that reflected curses.

Yeah. And the last game we played, I never once got above level 4. And every time I'd hit 4, I'd pull some stupid level 18 monster from the pile, and the only people I could ask for help were all 1 level away from winning.
Stupid redneck trees and fear of all plants (-5).

So, we are now playing the classic "Gauntlet" and tonight our daughter accidentally saved over D_N_T's level 59 wizard... So we spent the next hour grinding experience for his new character and I think I finally understand what you all mean about grinding away in Galaxies... tiring.

We just played the Harry Potter card game again...it's probably been a few years since we last played it - it was way more fun than I expected! And I have hundreds of new cards that I haven't even made decks out of! (hurray for Walmart clearance racks and $.25/pack prices!!!)

They've got a Cthulhu card game out that I've been thinking about getting...but it's a CCG in the actual definition of "CCG" so I'm trying to stay away from it.
I'm still eyeing that Cthulhu board game that just came out a couple months ago, though...
