No prob posting my address until the meeting. I'm a HUGE fan of Colorado's Make My Day Law. Come shooting with me some day - I was a USAF Special Forces Armorer. And I live next door to the ex-Chief of Police who runs the neighborhood watch...
And I'll take care of the drinks... I have my own stocked soda machine.

I have an assault shotgun and a 45. And yes, I specifically bought them because of stalkers and for home protection. The fact I have weapons and will use them is a deterrent.
But for the party, they will be secured off premise. Kids and guns don't mix - ever (even if they're secured).

Ooo...assault shotgun, like a Saiga-12 or a Bernelli?
We're fine with guns. Rachel's dad used to take her shooting when she was little, all my friends grew up with guns, and I used to shoot competitively in high school. The AR-15 I'm building should be done next month, and then I'll be able to get back into shooting -- a buddy and I are going to start doing 3-gun.
And in case of a zombie outbreak, I know where the neighbor's 10k rounds of .223 ammo are. This cul de sac will be safe.

Josh, I didnt know you shot competition. WAs it high school rifle team or an outside team?I was on rifle team and being my battlion S-4 was fun. I could go and shoot when ever I felt like.

High school. I did the ROTC thing when I was planning on becoming an astronaut, but I have a better chance of getting into space by building my own rocket in the backyard. LOL. It was geekish, but I snagged a varsity letter out of it.
I don't think you've met Pat yet -- we've known each other since 9th grade and have been wanting to get into 3-gun (do a net search, or check out ar15.com -- it's really cool) for a couple years. It just came down to me having all the guns I need, and us having time to actually compete. Hopefully this winter we'll be able to start competing, and then in a couple years be good enough for the nationals in Wyoming where you actually get to chase down targets in a helicopter.
