Prequel Remakes! (scripts) Read and Stuff! :)

I posted this up in Fan Fiction, but it got totally knocked to page 3 in like 4 hours, so I don't think anyone even saw it!
I've been working the past few months on Uber Star Wars: the Fans Strike Back... a project conceived on a camping trip at Eleven Mile Canyon. Basically, they're rewrites of the 3 prequel movies, cleaning out the dreck and leaving only shiny goodness 
I've only finished The Phantom Menace thus far, but the others are currently in production. Main page here
Here's a partial list of the alterations:
- Anakin's age progression: Anakin is now 14 at the start of Phantom Menace, thus obliterating the annoying 10 year old we all hate to remember. As such, he plays a much larger active role from the beginning as he is already beginning to exhibit signs of Force power.
- No midichlorians! There, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
- Speaking of Anakin, he is no longer some kind of bizarre virgin birth thing. He has a father. A very interesting father...
- No gungans! No Jar Jar! Happy days!
-Padme has been slightly reduced in age and rank. She is no longer elected Queen of Naboo (a post that still confused me) and is now also about 14, making her the same age as Anakin. She is an assistant to the Queen of Naboo (who isn't elected)
- The Trade Federation is no longer a bizarre assortment of ugly guys blockading planets for no apparent reason. They now play a VERY important role that I'm sure most will recognize shortly after their introduction.
- Jango Fett isn't included. Sorry Bobba Fett lovers, but I just can't justify using him.
- Clones take on a much more sinister role, as do the droid forces. They're no longer cutesey "Roger Roger" robots, now they're SCARY.
- General Grievous lives up to the form he was in during the cartoon Clone Wars saga (which, btw, does not fit into these movies canon, but has been mined of a few ideas)
- Count Dooku has a lot more to do. As does Palpatine...
- Anakin's descent to the Dark Side will be different... much different.
So anyways... I hope people enjoy reading these! They've been great fun to write.

I just got done reading your script, and I must say, VERY impressive. I personally think that would have made a much better movie. I am looking forwad to the next two. Any idea when the next one might be completed?

Well, Clones currently stands at 70 pages long (for reference, my Phantom Menace script is 97 pages, with each page being roughly 1 minute of screen time). I'd say it's about 2/3 written, based on my own plans for the rest, though editing my occasionally treacly dialog takes time too Given time to work on it, maybe a month or so, as a rough guess.

You'll probably notice the Clones script deviates considerably more from the original script than the Phantom Menace did, which is mostly because there was a lot less stuff in Attack of the Clones that I wanted to carry over. But thus far, the biggest stuff is this:
- 3 years have passed since the Phantom Menace (thus making Anakin and Padme 17 years old)
- The Separatists are still in the movie, though slightly differently. General Grievous is also introduced in this movie instead of the third. The Trade Federation is also still around, as a separate faction (see the Phantom Menace!  )
- One big change I've made is to look into Obi-Wan's history and learn more about his character. This is probably the biggest liberty with canon I've taken thus far... hope people approve!

Well what you have so far on the next one is even more impressive than the last. I can't wait till they are all finished.

Episode II is ready to read!
The final title is Rise of the Empire. I think the reasons for the title change are evident in the script. Enjoy and let me know what you think!
