The El Paso Film Society is showing Superman (Special Edition), starring Christopher Reeve, on July 23, 2005! A few of us have discussed this, and we'd like to make an official ORFF outing out of this. If you'd like to visit the website for the event, GO HERE.

We need to call or PayPal these people for ticket reservations, so let's get this thing going fast. happy Talk to family members, if they need to know, and let us know whether or not you can make it. happy

I can make it. So who is going to be in charge of all the ticket stuff? Since not all of the members dont live in El Paso, do you think they might reserve the seats for us and then we can pay when we get their?

I'm not sure; we'll have to call them and verify what they want us to do. I'll call as soon as I get a general idea of how many people think that they can come. happy

I'd love to go. I'm ashamed to admit I've never seen the Superman movies with Chistopher Reeves! shock I went to the website, and it says they want a $5 dollar donation for each seat.

I can talk to the director and see if we could make reservations and whatnot. And if I need to, I can get there early to hold seats for us.

I'd be able to make it as well.

Superman is my all time favorite out of every superhero so there is no way I'd miss going to this!!!

I will not be able to make it that weekend. I know already that I am working that Saturday. That sucks too because it would be so cool to go to. Hopefully everyone who is able to go has fun though.

Ok, so I called the Society and it was Alex, the director, who picked up the phone. I told him it was for the ORFF and he remembered us from the Episode III fiesta and was super excited to have us come. He's going to save us 15 seats for now and I'll call him back once I have a set number. So make sure you can come and if you can send me a confimration PM with how many people you are bringing (any other friends, family, ect.) so I know just how many seats to reserve. I'm so excited!!! Yay! I hope to see you there!

Sounds good Brittani! Sent you a PM of whom I'm taking.

I think it's cool that they are doing this.

"Superman Returns" is supposed to be coming out in theaters in '06 so I'm excited for it.

Yeah, the new Clark Kent looks great in civilian gear:

But his suit's different colors irk me a bit.

He's still hot though. His name's Brandon Routh.

He does look okay as Clark Kent. Still think Christopher Reeve did a better job pulling off the look.

The actor looks good as Superman [without the glasses!] I do like the look of the new suit, it seems fitting for the age we are now in. But again, I prefere the Superman suit that Christopher Reeve wore because the Kryptonian symbol was much bigger.
