Movies, books, some comics, video games, action figures, fan films, trivia (I am sure I am not the only one to start and end a "Star Wars Trivial Pursuit" game without anyone else playing, right?), three SW cosutmes... what am I missing... Non-SW Related Interests: God, Family, RedVsBlue, homestarrunner How did you get started on SW: I was two when my parents took me to Star Wars in 1977, so I don't remember. But I will always remember how I felt in 1980 when I saw The Empire Strikes Back. The wampa, the AT-AT, the bounty hunters, YODA! That was it for me. I had toys, and I still have my Star Wars Story books. Always have, always will be a Star Wars Geek. I have been looking for a Spokane SW group, and thought that I was out of luck. Then I was pointed here from the Starwars.com forums. Yay! I am really looking forward to getting to know fellow SWGs and attending any gatherings. ttyl! 	Name: Jesse Age: 26 Location: Spokane Valley SW Related Interests: I love all of the books, and of course I'm a huge fan of the movies as well. I'm a little bit nuts about the video games too. Even if they aren't that great, I try to get them all for the systems that I have(xbox, gamecube, PC). I used to do the roleplaying game, but the format has changed, and of course, having time to do it is another problem(damn that growing up bit!). In general, I'm just a huge Star Wars nut!!!!! Non-SW Interest: I love to read and write (mostly scifi, but I just enjoy a good book anytime). I've gotten my masters and bachelors in Education. I have a Math Major and Reading Minor. I love to teach, but haven't had a lot of luck getting a job the last couple of years. I have taught one year of 1st grade, and that was a blast. I'm a big fan of exercise, and love playing basketball, volleyball, and golf. I'm a huge sports fan. How did I get started on SW: Well, I don't remember the exact age, but most of my earliest memories have Star Wars in them. I always had tons of action figures and vehicles, plus the clothing, lunch boxes, and other related stuff. I really got back into SW when the West End roleplaying game came out, and then when Timothy Zahn released Heir to the Empire, I was completely rehooked. I can say now, with great pride, that I have hooked my 3 year old nephew on Star Wars....another generation will keep the SW obsession alive!!! -----signature----- "You will bow to me!" 	Welcome guys! We've got a gathering planned for this weekend that should be happenning. Check the Thread in this Forum about our next meeting. Post in it and let us know if you can make it and how we'll recognize you when we see you. What do you mean the video games aren't that great??? Have you tried BattleFronts? 	New to Spokane. My name is James. I am 26, living on the North side of Spokane. Love everything Star Wars, excepty for the comics. It was great when they put out Dark Empire, but around 1999 I thought Dark Horse was slipping, and have only followed them sporadically. I am a published author, writer, aspiring director, and two of my bands have released cd's. Beyond that, I played college basket-ball, and my younger brother plays for a local Unbiversity. Those interests consume most my time. Star Wars is my first memory. I was four, and Mark Hamill was hosting a CBS broadcast of Episode IV, a bit before ROTJ was released. I watched with my Mom and remember when Obi cut down that guy in the Cantina, mom turned and said "isn't Obiwan cool?" Gotta' say, moms called that one right. My grandfather had a beta (old-school VCR) and taped the broadcast, and the family found the perfect babysitter. When ROTJ came out we went to all three showings that day, establishing a tradition that has seen me watch EPs. 	Name: Scott Age: 34 Location: Olympia SW Related Interests: Finished reading LOE in Feb. Waiting for 2007 when Lucas is going to release all six episodes (one per year) in the 3D format. Non-SW Related Interests: Cycling, running, swimming, good vegetarian food, making music videos by coupling my CD collection with scenes of nature and people. How did you get started on SW: It really began after seeing ROTJ. Anytime I dove off a diving board at the pool during the summer, I tried to emulate Luke jumping off that plank at the Sarlacc pit. Though it would have helped if "R2" was there to shoot me a lightsaber as I flipped through the air. I cheered with the rest of the audience when Vader picked up 'ole Palpy and threw him down that shaft. 	I'm pretty sure that there isn't a group that meetings in Moscow, so that means you are more than welcome to join our group! If you can find 3 people in Moscow from 3 different households, you could start your own group too. But we'd love to have you join our group. We meet almost every week, alternating Sundays and Saturdays. Our meetings start at noon or 1PM, and most of the time they last all day. I think our longest meeting on record lasted 13 hours. 	Hi, I've been a reader of TFN for about 6 years but haven't done the forum thing that much... Name: Rob Age: 23 Location: Spokane! SW Related Interests: Collecting toys, food items, and random stuff. Non-SW Related Interests: Music, old skool video games, How did you get started on SW: I always liked Star Wars but didn't really start getting into it until the trilogy was re-released on video in (1993?). Then I started really getting hardcore in 1996 by collecting the toys, playing lots of Shadows of the Empire on N64, and getting hyped for the Special Editions. For Episode I I only waited in line a few hours, but I did skip school to get the tickets. For Episode II I waited in line about 9 hours. For Episode III I'm planning on waiting a couple of days, not because I think I need to but for fun!
