Fall/Winter 2007 Meetings

August 17 (Friday) - Monthly Group Meeting - Location TBA
August 4 (Saturday) - Costume Meeting - Reanna's - 2:00 until about 10:00
August 18 (Saturday) - Costume Meeting - Reanna's - 2:00 until about 10:00
August 25 (Saturday) - All Group Picnic in the Park to Welcome New Members
The purpose of these costume meetings is to prepare for Weird Al at the Spokane Inter-State Fair in September. We ought to have more information re: what is going on, when we are going, etc. by the group meeting on the 17th. We will also confirm which park we will crash for the BBQ on the 25th.
September 21 (Friday) - Monthly Group Meeting - Location TBA
September 1 (Saturday) - Costume Meeting, if needed for Fair prep - Location/Time TBA
September ? - To the Fair!!
October 12 (Friday) - Monthly Group Meeting - Location TBA
October 27 (Saturday) - 4th Annual Halloween Bash at Reanna's!!! Costumes required.
October ? - Costume meetings to be scheduled if needed
November 16 (Friday) - Monthly Group Meeting
November ? - Costume meetings to be scheduled in preparation for New Year's Eve
December 15 (Saturday) - Spokantina Holiday Party at Reanna's - White Bantha Gift Exchange?/Monthly Group Meeting
December 31 (Monday) - First Night in Hoth Costumes?

Who's bringing the roasted pig with the apple in the mouth? Cuz I'm Sure NOT!
Seriously do we just all bring what ever or is there a list? Oh and yeah which park would be a great detail and if that park has a covered area in case our planet decides to pretend it is Kamino instead of earth and it pours down rain all day again.

I want to suggest Mirabeau Park in the Spokane Valley as the location for Saturday's Picnic, unless another venue had been planned. It is a central location for most of the members, making it easy to get to as well as having a pavilion in case of inclimate weather.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Whatever park is chosen will be fine with me, but if you really want my prefference, I'd say RiverFront park Downtown. It has a coverred Bar-B-Q area just East of the main Pavillion. And it's a two-tiered deal, which makes it very cool. Unfortunately, because it is Downtown, the freakier people have easy access to it as well.....

What are the planned hours for said Saturday picnic? is this a lunch affair? because Kelli and I have been invited to a house warming BBQ on that same day... I'd like to make both if possible, so if we started the picnic at like, 10 am or something, and "ended" it at 5 or so... just an idea.

We need both time and venue to be decided here soon, by tomorrow. Otherwise it will make it very difficult to give people notice as to where and when and what to bring.
What I would like is for people to suggest parks and what they will bring or would like to bring.
Also, I had talked to Erik about doing some sword work at this picnic so those who would like to learn please come prepared.

Anyhoo... I work from 5:30am to 2:30pm that day, so the less driving that I do after that, the better. I've already fallen asleep twice on the way home after those early morning shifts.
Wherever we have the Bar-B-Q, I'll definitely bring the Dew, as well as jumbo hot dogs & buns. I'll see about getting the trimmings, and cleaning out my cooller.
