All I'm saying is that I've seen what else is available, and between EVE Online and Pirates of the Burning Sea, my interests are piqued, not much in Galaxies makes me excited anymore... too much of the high level content (i.e. Avatar Station, Kashyyyk, Mustafar) is pretty much impossible, I like challenging content, but I don't like impossible to complete content. I get frustrated in SWG a lot, it's aggravating. Also, I think for the sake of my love of Star Wars in general, I need to keep my distance from SWG, all it does is serve to remind me of the things that bug me about Star Wars and some SW fans... That being said, I like everyone in the game that I play with, I just think it's time to move on from a dying game. That's all, just time to find another virtual home grin Come join me, won't you? wink

Also, for the record, the pathetic smuggling system in galaxies pales in comparison with what will be available in Pirates of the Burning Sea.

in SWG there is no point to smuggling, it makes a bit of money, yeah, but there's no reason to do it, there's no impact on the game world, you can't destabilize the empire's hold on Tatooine by flooding the market with Glitterstim, you can't earn fame in a location because of your underworld connections, there's no real accomplishment for achieving Master Underworld Smuggler...

however...

in Pirates of the Burning Sea, freetrader characters can learn smuggling skills and take smuggling missions from their nation's government that requires them to sneak into enemy harbors at night and deliver foreign goods to help destabilize the market and cause unrest. Smugglers can serve a purpose to the rest of the game's community, they can have an unseen hand in the struggle to control ports in the Caribbean. Smuggler's are needed by the three major nations.

Plus, I've always wanted to be an Errol Flynn-esque swashbuckling rogue... I mean, he's the original Han Solo grin

Soon you will not greet me as Jarus Sarn, Corellian Smuggler. Instead you will address me as Ethan Ravenhill, British Smuggler...

"God save the King!!!"

wink

Well for anyone who's interested ...

I got tired of running around trying to find a clothier last night (although I made a couple of new friends along the way. One asked if I could build him a ship. The other needed Reverse Engineering services. I don't charge much - so they went away happy, and I hope, will be returning customers.) I was trying to build some furniture and needed fabric panels from a factory crate.

Anyway ... I was browsing the Bazar and saw someone was selling fish bait (grubs and worms.) I thought WOW! (Can I actually fish in this game? I love fishing in real life.) Beginning Traders can even build fishing poles, so I whipped one up, and went home.

Our houses are right on the river in Hamblin Estates, so I waded in, put bait on my hook (place grub on pole,) and started to fish (radial - 5.) (They've done a decent job here with fishing!) You cast your line out, wait, get a nibble, taunt the fish a bit, and he hits. Then you play the fish (this happens automatically when you hook a fish,) until either you lose it or land it.

I caught 8 fish last night, gutted and fileted them (then had more bait to fish with.)

Anyway, I had fun!
