Timothy Zahn • SpoCon 2008 Guest of Honor
(Spokane, WA) August 15, 2007 – The SpoCon 2008 Convention Committee is pleased to announce world famous author Timothy Zahn as the 2008 Guest of Honor for SpoCon. Mr. Zahn is well known for his precise writing style, often focusing on the logic of his characters over their feelings.
Mr. Zahn is well known for his novels set in the Star Wars Expanded Universe and for the creation of the Imperial character Grand Admiral Thrawn, as well as the smuggler Talon Karrde and the Imperial assassin Mara Jade. Zahn’s characters have become some of the most well-loved of the Expanded Universe.
In addition to his numerous Star Wars writing credits, Mr. Zahn has written the Dragonback young-adult science-fiction series and the popular Conqueror’s Trilogy, he also won a Hugo award in 1984 for his novella Cascade Point. Mr. Zahn has been writing professionally since 1979.
