Happy Halloween to ya all!

We had a hoop haller of a great time! I actually dressed up this year! As a family we went trick or treating and to a Howdy Cowboy Festival.

Trick or treating consisted of about....(counting)... maybe 10 houses. It was too cold! But I got to wear my Headless Horseman costume.Yay! Mason was still the hit as Beaker! Everyone just laughed and stared and laughed some more. He even got asked multiply times to pose for pictures.

The kids had a great time roping the herd and loading up on sugar at First Church's Cowboy Fest. We even got to roast marshmallows under the stars, and the smores were quite the treat as well. Destroyer Sam's favorite part was the strobe light dodge ball. I'm not sure how that fit into the cowboy theme. But I am sure glad they were throwing balls and not cow pies or mud pies or any other kind of pies.

Well that was the gist of our candy scavenging adventure! I hope all of yours went as well or better! Love to hear about it!

Sorry we missed ya all at the party Saturday:(

We too had to work cry but at least we got to do so in costume. I wore my faire garb which was a big hit at work.

BOO! (as in boo hoo) So sorry really really! Man those hours must be a bit difficult to pull off. I could never do that and function normally:)

Smudge glad you got to at least have some fun in costume! Cheeser had to work too... well sort of. They have at his work a big shabang Halloween costume party. Every year people try hard to have the best costumes and carve the best pumpkins for the chance at a real treat, Cash! The families are all invited for the grub in the afternoon lunch hour, after they supposedly work some. Then they still goof around, I mean work for a few more hours after the extended lunch and come home for the night time fun. happy

I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Sorry you guys missed the party.... so did I. Sometime it's just impossible to get away. The malls were all a bust but we did go to a neighborhood off Indian Trails that was very festive even a garage sized haunted house! to cool. I would have loved to see Sam as Beaker, what great costumes you guys! Please post some pictures grin

Well, after some very long nights I finally finished my Vader. I broke it in Halloween and it went really well. Kids were going nuts and we did some photo ops. My son was proud of his Vader Dad. Telling everyone "that's my Dad". Priceless!

Me and my son Sean. I applogise for the bad saber effect.

Trying out my new force choaking abilities. Made the cat run!

Actually it was Cheeser that was beaker and Destroyers sam was a Pirate. Our Daughter was a princess of course.
Cheeser's everyday work gear requires a Lab coat and dress shirt with tie. Just perfect for Beaker's attire. All we had to make was His Head. I was pretty proud of us. Everyone was asking us where we got it. He looked good!
Love the Vader Costume! That is SWEET! Did you happen to get an audio of the imperial march to play as you walked around?

I be not very gifted in the posting pic's area of expertise. But I am sure Cheeser will post some soon. He has them on his puter at work anyhow!

Thanks for the kind words. That's what I get for trying to read posts when I should be sleeping hypnotized No Imperial March but I do have the breathing on a loop with a small set of speaker hidden under my inner cape.

oh yes very nice indeed! Funny, that is our daughters favorite sound. She asks Daddy Cheese to play it for her over and over(it being one of his cell phone ring tones)

Then she would have loved to be in a stroller next to us because it was pretty loud. I kept telling my wife, if this breathing sound annoys you I’ll turn it off. She was good with it. Of course I could barely hear anything in that helmet.
Love to see Cheeser as Beaker. Beaker's cool! Have him post some pic's applause

Anyone else dressed up for halloween? Post your pic's, lets see'em

First, let me say that Trunk or Treat is the best invention since the wheel, especially if you live where I do and Halloween was about 25 degrees at night.

If you don't know, trunk or treat is where a group of people, in this case, my church, gets people you all know and a parking lot. They pull in front-ways and open their trunk, then decorate it, pretty much like it's your house.
Then, kids go car to car saying trunk or treat.
You know everyone, the candy is safe and best of all, a kid can get a huge bag of candy in about 10 minutes.

Here's some pictures of my "Recruitment Center"
You can't really see it but the poster near the "Jailed Jawa" was a I WANT YOU FOR THE IMPERIAL ARMY poster.

The R2 was one of those old Pepsi promo ones I put a siren light in and had light up eyes for my Jawa.
All in all, I had 300 pieces of candy and and had one left by the time it was over.

Anyway, hope everyone had a safe one,
TD9993

The last picture is of my kids, one being a pirate and one being a ninja. So naturally, I made them "fight".
happy

Trunk or treat! What a great Idea! A trunk would be a whole lot smaller to decorate than a whole house. Man I bet the kids had a great time too. Loved the pics sweet and the Trunk you rigged up!
