It's from the 60's, I think. Actually, I don't have 50's music, so you don't have to worry about it.

I thought it was a little younger than that. Hmm...what else would work? *Puts "War" onto jukebox.*

There are very few Chuck Berry tunes I can listen to. I got a best of chuck berry cd and I swear every song was the same damn thing. What was worse is that it didn't have the song "Run Run Rudolph" on it. I like that song.

I buy some of the songs that my band plays, so I have a lot of different tracks because of the diversity of the artists.

I really have to think hard about what my favorite decade for rock was. I kind of lean toward the 80's.
I just got back from seeing Scarface on the big screen. My friend is a big Pacino fan while I have been really indifferent to the movie but I gotta say it was a fun experience. Seeing that old scratched print on the big screen with the audience's reaction was a lot of fun

I think that 1966-75 was the best decade for rock music. If you want to go by a true tens digit decade, I guess I'd go with the 70s. The 80s had some good stuff, but not as much "rock", especially in the second half, which was pretty barren for rock. I think I would pick the 80s as my favorite pop decade.

Most of us do, but that doesn't mean we have to think the 80s are the best decade for rock.

*I* don't count groups like Def Leppard as "hair metal", so I really don't have any of that type of music in my collection - mostly mainstream rock and pop from the 80s.

Def Leppard is not hair metal, I agree. But Poison is and I have their greatest hits.

I think mid/late 70's - early 80's rock was a good time for rock music. There was a lot of good stuff going around and just coming out during that time. BNWHM, punk, Van Halen came out then... a lot of bands that we still celebrate today started during that era.
