Thought would let you all know that John Williams will be conducting three concerts with the CSO on Novmeber 24, 25, 27. As far as I can tell, tickets are not yet on sell (if you see otherwise, please let us know).

Living only 4 hours from Chicago, I can hardly contain my excitement! I'll be there for sure. I've never seen Williams in concert or even been to a film music concert for that matter. I've been to several classical concerts, but to see the maestro himself conducting his own music should be an experience like no other!

John Williams conducts the CSO - 25, 27

It does not actually say he'll be playing film music on the site, but it's still very early (and I can't imagine that he wouldn't!).

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up on this one. I missed a concert of his a few years back and was hoping he'd return soon. Living only 30 minutes from down town I can't pass this up.

I called the CSO box office and they told me tickets will go on sale to non season ticket holders Aug 17. Mark your calendars.

I hope I can get to one of them. I would love to hear American Journey live. I love that work.

Both concerts look great though. Definitely might be worth staying to go to both.

Just a quick reminder that tickets went on sale today for non-season ticket holders.

There are still some very good seats available in the lower balcony and main floor (for the Nov 25 concert).

So those of you that got to go, what did you think?

I had an absolute blast. The concert was amazing (I went to the Sunday afternoon concert). From the music selections to the orchestra's performance, it was excellent. What I liked the most was that Williams didn't play a lot of his most popular, well know music. It was a nice mix.

I'm really glad that I got to go, seeing as how this is probably the only time I'll get the chance.
