Favorite non-SW tracks
I was thinking of starting a thread to list your all-time favorite tracks from film soundtracks. Since eight or nine of mine would be Star Wars tracks (and we already have a
thread for that
), I decided to make a list excluding SW tracks.
1. The Enterprise - Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
2. The Breaking Of The Fellowship - Howard Shore (LOTR: The Fellowship Of The Ring)
3. End Credits - John Williams (Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade)
4. Isengard Unleashed - Howard Shore (LOTR: The Two Towers)
5. Theme From "Schindler's List" - John Williams (Schindler's List)
6. James Bond Theme From Dr. No - John Barry/Monty Norman (Dr. No)
7. Love Theme From "The Godfather" - Nino Rota (The Godfather)
8. Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye - John Williams (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial)
9. Battle In The Mutara Nebula - James Horner (Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan)
10. Exultate Justi - John Williams (Empire Of The Sun)
HM: The Medallian Calls - Hans Zimmer (POTC: The Curse Of The Black Pearl) ... for Jack Sparrow's introduction
HM: The Map Room/Dawn - John Williams (Raiders Of The Lost Ark) ... not as good on its own as it is brilliant film score

RE: Favorite non-SW tracks
I will not order them and I know there's a lot of great stuff missing (like Indy), but
The Incredits - Michael Giacchiano (The Incredibles)
Where's Mr. Barrie? - Jan A.P. Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland)
Final Flight - Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek Nemesis)
Fairy Dance - James Newton Howard (Peter Pan)
It's in the Subtext/Central Park/The Empire State Building/Beauty Killed the Beast - James Newton Howard (King Kong)
Becoming a Geisha - John Williams (Memoirs of a Geisha)
The Princess Pleads for Wallace's Life - James Horner (Braveheart)
The Dragon Boy - Joe Hisaishi (Spirited Away)
A Window to the Past - John Williams (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)
Farewell - Tan Dun (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)
Liberi Fatali/The Oath/Terra's Theme - Nobuo Ueamatsu (Final Fantasy VIII&VI)
should I list the two or three dozen tracks I love from LotR? Remember, I have the CRs

Transformation - Alan Menkin, Beauty and the Beast
Trees - Jerry Goldsmith, Medicine Man
Trinity Definitely - Don Davis, The Matrix Revolutions
The Water Wheel - Alexandre Desplat, The Painted Veil
* If I had to choose a favorite track, it would be a tossup between these three.
