Respectfully disagree. I think it's getting harder to find good, thoughtful, balls-to-the-wall action writing anymore.

They are not "songs", they are "tracks" or "cues"

This is a loud robust score -- I'd recommend not iTunes for this one.

Am I missing something? confused I've only been using iTunes for the past few weeks (and only then to transfer my CDs to my ipod), so I wouldn't know its strengths and weaknesses too well.

In generally, iTunes compression is not all that great. Small file sizes, but low bitrates (128 kbps) (if it's marked iTunes Plus, it's 256 kbps, so a bit better). Maybe okay for pop music or blasting over a car speaker system, but as far as getting full range and level of detail in an intricate instrumental piece, forget it. I go with iTunes sometimes because of price or convenience, but any music I consider must-have, I'll track down the CD. I've been burned more than once by getting a score from iTunes and finding it sounding flat or just not working for me, only to find that it's much more robust and clear when I hear it from a better source. That said, there are some scores I've gotten from iTunes that sound perfectly fine to me, so it's really a crapshoot. But both Stardust and Ratatouille, for instance, didn't work for me until I heard them not from iTunes.

If its music you feel you must own you should always track down the cd. I recently had a computer crash and lost everything I bought from iTunes. $68 down the drain. I learned my lesson, always buy cds.

I'll probably buy this on iTunes. His Rambo suite on his myspace sounds fantastic as well.

Plus, he's hot. Uh, I meant handsome in a straight way. doh!

"His" Rambo suite? He forgot to credit the original composer of 2/3 of that track, Jerry Goldsmith. Who was not hot, but was a great composer, as opposed to the flash in the pan, Brian Tyler. Here's hoping Tyler's career ends now.
