I'd heard about it and I'm both surprised and kinda excited. I know I'll be buying PoD in paper back though.

I haven't read PoD yet either. Honestly, I was waiting for it in paperback so, I am sure I will be reading it shortly.

I was too because I'm just not all that excited about from what I've heard people say about the book.

Has anyone read the Darth Vader short stories in the back of the Betrayal paperback?

They're quite good, I'd enjoy it if Traviss wrote more Vader stories.

I think I may have read one of them if it was the same one in Star Wars Insider(it's where he saves Lekauf's grandfather.)

Hi there!

Haven't read those short stories yet.... I am going to need to dig them up though, being a Vader fan and all! I need to read Betrayal as well.

So much to read so little time!

I still don't like seeing Vader painted as someone we should sympathize for, but I do think Traviss's writing in the short story was fairly good. I also do find the idea that Vader would care about his men somewhat suspect given how often he executes them personally.

I liked Shadows of the Empire, but I don't know how well it stands up after the Prequels.

Ok, I wasn't going to post this due to length but, a very good friend of mine put it together for me recently... It is a bit outdated but, most books that are out there are listed here.

************************

Here is the full EU reading list (including some graphic novels that tie into the novels) What I've done is seperate the books
into their respective eras, and I've highlighted the ones that I consider to be essential reading. In other words, the ones that aren't highlighted can be skipped, or in the case of a couple of the really crappy ones, ignored altogether. Thankfully, only a couple of the novels are rubbish!

Quick note- BY = Battle of Yavin ( the end battle in Episode IV: A New Hope). Anything that happens before this point is described as X number of years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), and anything that happens after is described as X number of year ABY (After the Battle of Yavin)

And so we begin....

The Force must be strong with me.... my reading list seems to have scared everyone away! LOL

I saw some new Vader & other Sith items that I want to eventually pick up at the local comic store. The most impressive was the mini Vader helmet (looks like a smaller version of the large figure carrier) which had mini-figures in it. I also saw a real nice replica of the Infiltrator and a Mini-Maul.

I literally had to tear myself out of the store before I bought them!

Have a great weekend everyone....
