Strilo - wow, you're not kidding! You seriously did that?  I've gotta admit, I'm impressed....and I do also very much understand the sentiment, the rationale that would spur you to that kinda thing. Heck, if anyone ever spoiled me like *that*, I'd see to it that they were singing soprano from then on. Or I'd likely be slapping them silly and plotting all other sorts of ways to punish them, each one more vengeful than the next.  Because it's quite clear that some things are like the proverbial "sacred cows" of SW fandom, and one simply does *not* contravene anything like that, one never dares break The Code, as it were....and if anyone is ever foolish enough to, well....that's when a person invariably resorts to just what you did there. Me, I missed out completely on runnin' any risk like that at the time....just as I missed out on a similar little snafu that Jay Leno pulled when Hayden was on, shortly before AOTC came out....I only heard about it, and saw it, well after the fact. Eeeek!
Mmmm, yes, I can very clearly see where stuff like this would be igniting real battles....entirely understandable, too, and I can't help but empathize. I mean, really....there are some things that one just doesn't *do* to a SW fan....

I punched him square in the nose.
Thank you god that I never knew about that until the movie came out. Though I did hear that the Obi and Qui vs Maul fight was going to be really good.
And it was really good. one of my fav lightsaber fights.
Edit: That two sided lightsaber sure it was in the comics before but I'm sure glad GL used it for the movies. It looked much better in the movies any ways. Then when you see Maul on Naboo. Best way for a bad guy to come in. He looks up pulls out his saber and truns it on.

Now, for another "Why I Love The Phantom Menace."
From seeing this shot the first time in the trailer to seeing it now every time I watch the movie, my breath is taken away. Theed is one of the most beautiful and sweeping new locations created for the prequel trilogy, and this shot early in the movie really shows some of it off. Revealing the wicked waterfalls and expansive palace, it's one of the things, being early on in the movie, to get me hyped up to watch the rest of the film.

I have now been posting under my new screenname for a week. This is now my 100th post. I wanted it to be in the same thread (despite forum the forum switch) that I made my first post in under this screenname: TPM DF. Slowly, but surely, I'm climbing my way back up in post count. If I keep this rate of 100/week, then I'll get up to where I was on my old name in about four months. Yay me!
