Well I don't like the idea of losing the legacy of the TPMDF. It's been around a long time. If anything continues, I think it should. But honestly the administration is not really in favor of sanctuary threads anymore. Much has changed here in the almost 7 years since TPM came out. Sape has said outright that if the decision were his alone, the sanctuary threads would all be locked. In that environment it would be hard to justify adding a Gushers' Sanctuary, especially as that is what the TPMDF is.
I just can't shake the impression that it is no longer needed. If it was needed, it would be used. Plain and simple. It was not a chore for years to keep the TPMDF running. Now it is. Hardly anyone posts anymore. If it was needed, people would use it. It's as clearly delineated as the Bashers Sanctuary.

I like the idea of a PT DF, sorry I havent posted here in awhile, but it has been preety much dead. I think a PT DF with a good leader will be very active.

I would say ranks and roster stuff are on hold until the future of the DF(s) has been decided...

I'm just completely confused as to how anyone could possibly call it a "chore", or seem to view it as a burden, to keep the DF threads running....because really, by my reckoning, *nothing* could be further from the truth! Again, speaking for myself - but I don't think I'm the only one to feel so by *any* means - well, I sure as shootin' *do* enjoy them, always have, very much so....*I've* never construed them as a burden in the least fashion, because of course, if it's something you care about - then it's *not* a "chore"....it *is*, rather, something enjoyable....something fun, something for *good*. View it as a "chore" and that's what it will most likely be. View it as something *good*, and that, too, is most heartingly what it can be! Also, can I just point out the fact that....October to December....really *not* that long....?
After all, other threads experience periods of inactivity much longer than that, I've seen it - yet when they are subsequently upped by one person or another, all seems perfectly fine with it, and no one's doubting the need or importance, the standing of such a thread....basically, all seems fine *then*....so why all the fretting with the Defense Forces? It just seems to have come completely out of nowhere, and honestly - I think that it could *all* be avoided if people would just stop, step back for a moment, take a deep breath....maybe ease up with all the talk about there no longer being any "use" for the DF threads....? That would certainly help too, I'm thinking....
