Ok, now to get serious, let me attempt to get the ball rolling here with some deep serious character questions which will hopefully stem insightful discussion: What do you think was going through Nute Gunray's mind during the Naboo incident during TPM, with Sidious? I think he was driven by his fear and a tinge of his greed. He wanted this planet but knew it was logically impossible..or so he thought. Then comes a mysterious powerful Sith Lord who can offer him the planet...but for a price Nute will never forget. 	I don't think that Gunray felt threatened by Sidious, as many Neimoidians are only motivated by greed. But knowing that he was a Sith, it could have come into play. Thats exactly why Neimoidians are running the Trade Federation, because they want more money for the trading of both imports and exports. Gunray, knowing that he would have had to pay a hefty sum for control of Naboo, I think he was rather reluctant to accept such an offer, but he might have been planning for longterm goals, like making it an intergalactic trading post or something of the sort. So in my opinion, I don't think that Gunray felt threatened if he wanted to set up Naboo for trade and make more money than he was before with other TF controlled worlds. -----signature----- "All your base are belong to us..." 	If my information is correct; I heard Naboo is a galactic trade hub, right smack in the middle of a major trade route which ships goods from the core worlds of the Republic to the outlying systems of the Republic and back (Due in part to the rich resocures and unique planet infstructure, art, etc), which is why it was the perfect target to go to when Gunray hoped to resolve the matter by blockading Naboo, it was the heart of the trade to the outlying systems and since the congress of the Republic was disupting paying taxes to the TF for regulating trade routes to the outlying system of the Republic...it fit his plans. I still don't fully understand the whole taxation deal clearly though. Was the TF hoping to tax the republic for their trade routes or the other way around? Either way, I think like all Nemodians, Nute Gunray was scared sith of Sidious. Otherwise Gunray would never invade Naboo if he wasen't ORDERED to. He knew it was far too risky. Nute may be a coward but he IS a genious. Another question...When, where, why, how did Viceroy Gunray meet Darth Sidious and was Nute always planning on taking over Naboo and Sidious reeled him by promising him to help him, OR did Sidious give him the idea of blockading Naboo in the first place?
