Those are interesting, Kecen. :P Thanks for sharing. The one with the newborn alien (or whatever it's called, I can't remember) was kinda disturbing though. Makes me wonder what is being said...

kecen posted: Japanese fansites have a rather...cute selection of Grievous fanart, I made a post on my journal with links (and er, something that you'd really like, Ludo Kressh). Nothing offensive, though it involves Dooku and Grievous doing leisure activities like making pancakes.
http://kecen.livejournal.com/72645.html
Those were great, kecen! I've seen some of them before like 'Opera Wars'...I did like the Kaleesh/cyborg Grievous, I sometimes wondered what he would look like in the traditional dress after his transformation...the one I thought was really funny was him and Dooku eating what I guess was really spicy food and fire shoots out of Grievous's eye sockets because it was too hot for him! OAN, I wish I could read Japanese, I was trying to figure out the one where Grievous makes a pancake...
Edit: I just realized the one you wanted me to see...he's commanding rebels in the second pic!

Holy Kaleesh warlords, no one has gotten in the club for a whole day! I'm beginning to think this might be the end...I hope not..
I had a good day, in the 'line by line' game I got to qoute Grievous's lines when he's on Utapau, even the line in my sig! And we had a good day yesterday in the 'Battle for Kalee' RPF, Palpy, Mort and I really did a lot there moving the story along...
Well, I hope more people get on later, I'm going to now, I'm pretty tired, so I'll see you all tomorrow...LONG LIVE GRIEVOUS!!

Of all the quiet periods this thread has gone through, this is the longest. I haven't posted much in weeks, there hasn't been anything to talk about.

You know what I was thinking? We should all get together and write a Grievous 'filk'song. (one of those silly fannish songs about a favored character that go to the tune of an existing song such as 'On top of old smokey' or something like that..) We could all come up with a verse, then put it together into one big silly song. Either that or a funny story, where one person starts, then another takes over, then another. It would be fun to see how far from the original idea we take it.
Ooh,BTW I'm excited...Hasbro is coming out with a Titanium series Grievous!!! It's been a while since I bought a new G figurine! I wish someone would make a good model of Grievous's personal starfighter. That would be bad-a$$!!!

Guess who is back from vacation! That is right, Shadow is back at long last.
Vacation was great! I went camping in Eastern Washington, listened to some cool bands play at an amplitheather. It was so awesome. I then went home only to go on vacation again. I went to the beach and had a great time! However I never forgot about the good old General.
A new Grievous toy is just what the world needs. I will try to get it for sure and a model of Grievous' personal fighter would be a great idea!
Well I have to go now but see you later.

Grievous has a starfighter now?
-----
Karabbackilla, we already have role plays to make our own stories like that.
-----
You remember Droid Wars? It was a fanfilm made by some people who work for Nickelodeon in Tartakovsky style. The trailer was released early this year & should be due to release some time his month.

As far as I know he's always had a starfighter. A Bellbullab-22 with hyperspace capability. He punches it in ROTS. I think it's pretty sick!
So you guys are doing a story role play style? Sweet. I want in!
The new toon I want to see so badly. I heard somewhere that Grievous has some sort of panic attack in it. Poor baby.

Yes!! Although I'm low on funds right now, when is it coming out? How much? I'm getting a nice mini-bust by Gentle Giant in October from StarWarsShop.com...I showed it to some people in here..
And yes, a bunch of us are doing a fanfic/RP type of story...here's a link if you want to check it out, karrabbackilla:Battle for Kalee and your 'filk' song idea sounds cool, too!
Welcome back, Shadow, I was hoping people would come back from vacation and come here!
Well, I updated my story for those who read it!

According to various collecting sites, the Titanium Series Grievous should be retailing for about the same as the other figues in the basic forged figure line, just under $20 USA at most, maybe as low as $15 depending on the outlet. I'm not too thrilled by the look of it right now as it resembles some of the plastic figures already available too much. I was hoping for an all-new, four-armed combat-type pose myself, sigh...
What does pop my eyes open a bit, however, is the promo blurb that accompanies the figure as pictured over at the official Star Wars site...and they're popping for favourable reasons because the blurb is incredibly flattering compared to some earlier descriptions/background I've seen on Grievous! Here, read it for yourself. You'll swear a Grievous fanboy wrote it. I'm not complaining--not at all!--but geez, whatever happened to the slimy, cowardly villain portrayal Lucas was aiming for?
from the Star Wars site:
'The brilliant, cybernetic mastermind behind the successes of the droid army of the Separatists, General Grievous leads the series of lightning strikes that opens a corridor for the invasion of Coruscant itself. Beyond his status as a military genius, he is also a cunning and devoted warrior driven equally by a love of combat and the rage he feels at his mutilation and imprisonment within a lifesaving cyborg frame. Though he first appears on the Republic HoloNet as a wartime rumor, he quickly grows to the status of legend as the Republic meets defeat after defeat at his hands. Trained in lightsaber combat by Count Dooku, his mythical status is cemented after single-handedly defeating no less than five Jedi on Hypori. He meets a warrior's death at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi after a brutal, bare-knuckle fight.'

Well, if that's the case, I might not be interested, but a new pose would be nice...
Edit: Do you have a link for that?
