Heh, those pictures of Grievous in the OT were pretty cool. I liked the second one the most, it looked more believable. But that's nothing, I drew a comic out of one of Palpy's fanfic chapters!
-----
Hey Catgirl, no, I did not notice you were gone. I haven't really been visiting this thread that often, it's been kind of dead.
-----
Thanks for the comments on my art.If you guys ever need me to draw something for your fanfics I would be glad to do so. I think it's great that we all have different talents here. In DRL not many people I know can write or draw that well, so this is the only place I can collaborate with talented people. I know a few people on DeviantART who try to do both and it's clear that they have alot more talent in one field than the other. There are very few people who can do both, like my friend Splrix, who shares my love for Batman The Animated Series and Scarecrow.
-----
There's nothing wrong with being excited about Xmas, Palpy. It keeps the innocence and inner child alive I guess. Plus, who doesn't love getting free toys?

I liked your "Leering creature" drawings, Courtney, although I'm not sure if Palpy is going to update the story or not...I wish he would! grin

doh! I have so many WIPs. worried It's those Plot Bunnies. They just keep jumping around in my head! mischief Hmmm...I have rented "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker" though. Perhaps that will get me into the Joker mood again. mischief I can't promise anything though. Since Darth Real-Life and his apprentice Darth English have been challenging me to duels almost every week. silly BTW, I did really well on my last paper. dancing But still the foe continues to challenge me.

Thankfully I have the support of Darth Clown...I mean General Grievous. grin And all of you Grievous-crazy folks. grin If you don't mind a smaller update, I could probably get the story active again. peace

Hmm...this post lacks in Grievous. worried So, if Grievous were a movie critic, what movies do you think he would like best. (Aside from Star Wars, which would be the obvious choice mischief )

Awesome, Palpy, good job on the paper, yeah, I involved in a RPG now and my story and Darth Work...that would be cool, I could use a good laugh, even if if's a small one! tongue

Hmmm, movies...maybe like the Terminator series, the Robocop movies, Universal Soldier(gods, you know where I'm going with this, don't ya? tongue ) Or for a less action oriented fare he might enjoy SpongeBob the Movie or something silly like that(why does "When Grievous met Ronderu" pop into my head...a Kaleesh romantic comedy starring our favorite Kaleesh warlord...gods, see what 12 hours of work does to my brain! silly silly )

Yeah, definitely will have an update by tomorrow, I'm so sorry I don't update more often, I should. worried Anyway, this update may be a little rough, it has a little interspecies flirting and a bar scene(you probably get the picture.. tongue ), anyway, I hope it's all right! peace

I've given it some thought and I hate to regret that I must leave the Fanclub and this Forum altogether. I've been having some conflicts lately that has made my mind restless and not to mention I've lost interest in Star Wars and our dear General Grievous. So I've decided to finally leave the forum forever and I will never see any of you guys ever again. Catgirl, Palpy and Ludo. Take care of yourselves, may your interest in Star Wars never fade. For me I just don't think it is the right thing for me anymore. I've recently gained a stronger interest in Pirates of the Caribbean so I think I should just focus on that now. I also don't have as much time to be on this website forum like I did when I was on Summer Vacation. Who knows I might see you guys this summer when I have more time. I just need a long break from Star Wars.

Don't be mad Grievous. You are great and all it is just that for the longest time I've liked you and now that I think about it I need to take a long break from you.

Anyways I will miss all of you guys dearly and don't get any ideas on following my lead and leaving the forum. That would upset Grievous even more. But in the meantime I must go to the ends of the eart' and fetch back witty Jack and 'im precious Pearl.

Until then don't forget me and I might see you guys this summer.

May the Force be with you and Long live General Grievous!

I understand, Shadow..interests come and go, I sometimes have this too but I always come back to what I truly love(Star Wars and Star Trek, amonmg other things) so don't be discouraged, Pirates may be your thing now but you never know, you might come back to Star Wars sometime in the future. peace

And Grievous will always be a part of my Star Wars experience, even after this fanclub closes down(gods forbid that ever happens though. worried ). But don't be a stranger, and remember, you're always welcome here! happy

^ Well said Ludo. peace
We'll miss you, Shadow. But I hope our paths will cross again in the future. Always in motion, it is. grin

I think we all have interest changes. I find myself drawn more to Narnia and Batman these days. But I refuse to leave. not_talking I find that this place is not so much about Star Wars anymore as it is about talking with people whom I consider to be great friends now. I hope you feel the same way. batting

But of course there is a magic about Star Wars and Grievous of course and that always works its way into my life at some point. mischief I find the secret to staying interested is working what I happen to like now into my fan-fics. Hence many of my OC's that reflect various other characters from the White Witch to the Joker. dancing

I'm sure GG himself had this sort of issue though. I mean he probably had his doubts about staying on as a Kaleesh Warlord. mischief And if you trace him throughout the saga, you'll note that at one point, he's interested in besting Huk in open battle and at another, he takes up saber collecting. Well rounded Kaleesh I must say. alien_2 laugh

As far as movies that GG would like:

I see him as a fan of the 'Lion King' and some sensitive kids movies like the 'Land Before Time.' I mean, he is reptile-like and would like the Dinosaurs. wink alien_2

Especially Sharp Tooth and maybe Little Foot. Since he is intelligent enough to find the Great Vally. Something I'm sure GG would admire. thinking Of course I haven't seen that movie in years.... whistling blush grin

Welcome back, Ice Cream Clone! grin

Yeah, lately I've been thinking of some things I was into when I was a kid in the 80s(TMNT, ThunderCats, etc.), but I always come back to here for the same reasons Palpy mentioned...not just because we like a certain SW character, but because we are a group of people who love SW in general and we have become friends through that mutual admiration for the films.

And I love your characters, Palpy...except for that Senator from your 'Return of Vader' fic...gods, I forget his name, Jensen or Janson or something like that. tongue

Well, I'm off to duel Darth Work, I'm glad to see some action in the club once more...let's keep it up, Grievous deserves better than to be on the second page! peace

I imagine Grievous would like Moulin Rouge because Satine's desperate situation echoed <his/her> own.
Plus 'One Day I'll Fly Away' is so much refelecting the said theme wink

Return Of The Joker is awesome. Especially the ten minute flash back scene. That was so creepy, which I always love in Batman cartoons.

Ever read "The Killing Joke", Courtney? The Joker shoots Commissioner Gordon's daughter and paralyzes her, then Batman goes after him and they end up in an abandoned amusement park if my memory serves...it's been years since I read it(it's a trade paperback comic), but was really creepy how the Joker terrorized the commissioner's daughter...when I read it, it kind of freaked me out.

Anyway, I think Grievous could relate to Kidman's character in Moulin Rouge with Dooku being the theater owner that wants to marry her...and of course Ewan character(we don't need to say who he realtes to, do we? tongue )

Okay, sleep time...see ya all later! peace

Of course I've read it. It's a classic! That's the thing with the Joker, some times he will make you laugh, other times he will be very creepy.
However, I feel he is used too often in both the comics and cartoons. I love The Riddler and The Scarecrow. I even made a little toy of Scarecrow. You can see it in my art thread. I can't wait to see the Riddler episode of The Batman.

Yeah, I like Tim Burton's style of movie making...my favorite movies of his are 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Sleepy Hollow' and I agree, I think his version of the Batman franchise was really creepy and dark, the first two films were my favorites...after that it just became a action packed free-for-all, IMO.

I was hoping you did, Courtney! grin It's a great read, I wish I knew where I put it, I'll have to look through my old comics to find it...out of all the Batman villians, the Joker was my favorite!

Okay, Darth Clown...er, I mean Grievous is holding a blue lightsaber at my back, I can feel the electrical discharge coming off the blade..."But it's okay, we're still your number one fans!" worried peace
