I am finally going to buy that Sideshow Collectibles Grievous! Now that I have a part time job I can afford these sorts of things.

Why would Shadow leave the forums? Wouldn't you just leave your account open just incase you became interested in the JC again?

I hate both Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher's Batman movies. They were too much like the '60's Batman series. My friend, Kate is that sort if Batman fan too. I like Batman Begins and Bruce Timm's version, I like the dark serious stuff...I think I am what they call a hard core fan.

Save up...it's anywhere from 450 to 500 dollars depending on where you buy it, not to mention the S&H..

Yeah, I used to totally be into Batman and Superman but I kind of grew out of it...I don't know, I just like Tim Burton's style even if he didn't stay true to the comics too much..

^^ shock money_eyes hypnotized silly

Hmmm....that's beyond my reach. worried
But I can't imagine the kind of detail that goes into that. grin Anyone got pics of it? I know, seen it before, just lazy and want to look at it I suppose I could use google. mischief At least I got a good buy at the bookstore tonight. A really big Star Wars book. Something like: 'The Complete Visual Guide' Goes through all six movies. Nice pics of Grievous in it. I don't think it's new, but I never get to the store when they first come out. worried

Hmmm...I have a question. Since we're sort of talking about Batman and the Joker, is GG's armor anti-acid? (For lack of a better term tongue ) If not, then the Joker would easily win by using his acid spraying flowers. (Best weapon in all comic books in my opinion mischief ) I mean, what kind of damage can Grievous take? If you watch Clone Wars, remember when the clones blew up that area in the first episode and Grievous came out of it with just a torn cape? thinking

As far as Batmans, I like all of them for one reason or another. I grew up watching Tim Burton's Batman and Episodes of the 60's TV Show. I consider Batman Begins to be the most faithful of the bunch as far as comics. Best Joker has to be Luke Skywalker's from the cartoon. (Of which "The Leering Creature' is based on for the most part.) Although I haven't seen Heath Ledger yet and I am very excited to see him. His Joker will be based on TKJ as well as Batman #1 (1940) dancing

And just so GG is kept happy, Batman Vs. GG, who would win? thinking

Oh and Anakin vs. GG, who would win? My opinion is that there was a reason the council chose Obi-wan. I'm considering a GG vs. Anakin duel in my 'Wrath of Justice' fic. I want to know how well Anakin would hold up. (ROTS Era) peace Yes, I know, Chosen One but let's try to consider this a bit more. Any opinions on the matter would be helpful. Remember, GG wasn't an easy task for Obi-wan. shame_on_you

Save up? I've already got the money. I got mine on eBay so it was only $300. The thing is with eBay is that most of the stuff I want is in America so the postage and handling costs more than the item itself in alot of cases.
-----
Yeah, Grievous' armour can with stand acid. And Mark Hamill's Joker is the best.

300 dollars? Man, you got a good deal, I hope you don't end up like I did though...I'm waiting for my mini-bust, then I think that's going to be it for GG stuff...for a while. tongue

I figured it could withstand acid, but if Anakin uses the Force when fighting Grievous I don't think he would stand much of a chance, but in a duel, who knows? thinking

Man, I haven't been over here in a mumuu's age.

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi, hope life is treating everyone good!

Courtney, your drawing of kaleesh Grievous is wonderful! I like how you included the stages of progress. And 300 bucks for the Sideshow G? You got a wicked deal!!! It just goes to show you if you shop around you can find the goods! I paid $435 for mine w/o cape (cause I like him all nakey and stuff!)

I bet Grievous's armor is acid proof, if it was made blaster proof, then it's probably safe to say it's impervious to corrosion of any kind. Lets just say, I hope it was anyway happy

Grievous vs Batman?? I'm sorry batman fans, but I think Grievous would wipe the floor with him. He killed jedi after all.

Now Anakin vs Grievous... As much as I hate to admit it, old whiney boy probably would have dispatched our darling general in two seconds flat. Especially since Grievous was wounded, that gives him even more disadvantage. I could see Anakin pulling a move on Grievous like he did on one of the Skakoians (SP?)on Nelvaan. He would have put on the force squeeze and imploded his brain or guts or something else hidious that I don't like thinking about! sad

You got one too, karrabackilla? Well, as much as I want one and considering what happened to me, I don't think that's a possibility at the moment...but maybe someday. For now, I'll be content with the Gentle Giant mini-bust coming out in November(I pre-ordered it back in March.)

Yeah, Batman vs. Grievous, I think I remember seeing a fic about that in the LJ community by someone named Azreal I think? thinking It was pretty good, but yeah, Grievous could probably kick his butt.

Well to make a long story short, I pre-ordered it off a site on E-bay who I thought was reputable since they had lots of good feedback and sold a lot of high end items, but after several weeks they suddenly took their site off and I e-mailed them several times and they said I would get the item, but after a while I got even more leary and contacted E-bay who told me that they were supposedly having problems with their accounts...e-bay managed to get some of my money back but now I don't know if I can trust anyone on E-bay with something like that unless they show they have the item...well, like I said, maybe someday when I have the money again. Right now, I'm waiting for my mini-bust which doesn't ship until November.

Oh man, that sux. I'm sorry. It took me almost a year to get mine. (I pre-ordered too) I was really starting to get paranoid because during the month it was suppost to ship, I would ask the seller how much longer, and he would tell me a week or so, then like a month later I wouldn't hear from him. So I'd contact him and he'd be all "sorry, there's been a delay...etc.. I really thought I wasn't going to see it. Before it came to me, it got lost in the mail too!I've decided that I am not going to pre-order anymore.

The bust looks really sweet. I like how he's trying to hide the sabers behind his back. With little success. wink There's another bust that I remember seeing that is a clone wars style Grievous with his foot raised. Then there's that fossil watch! Guess I better start saving my money again.

It's high-larious! Sorry Grievous, this post isn't about you.

I don't know why but I’m just remembering a Johnny Bravo Cartoon,

He was talking to a doctor or something and was telling him:

Sometimes after I eat I lose my appetite, and at night I lose conciseness for several hours. That is just funny, I still watch cartoons, but Johnny Bravo is funny, but not the new shows the older ones in between the original and the new episodes.
Those are hilarious.

The cartoons in the '90's and early 2000's are definitley the best and what I consider the greatest era of animation. Particularly DC and Cartoon Network shows.
I didn't really like Johnny Bravo when it was first on tv because alot of it went over my head but now I find it funny.
Isn't it weird when you remember something from a long time ago?
I was thinking about this cartoon I saw ages ago, I think it was made my Dreamworks and set in India or something. There was this weird looking, mute, peasant dude who was in love with a princess or something like that and he would make patterns with a piece of string he kept in his pocket...I think he was a tailor or something. Man it's driving me nuts.
