I don't like grevious as portrayed in ROTS,I just thought he talked too much instead of concentrating on the task at hand(his duel with obi-wan) but I like his back story..it's fastinating(sp) I was just wondering is that why GL made him talk so much is because he wanted to show grevious more as a person than a cyborg? or was the human part gone at that point?

I think Lucas initailly wanted a really scary villian but he didn't want to scare the children so I think he opted for a more sneaky and conniving villian, one which tends to taunt the heroes and hence talks too much.
Yeah, his backstory is what really drew me to the character, it goes more in depth then the movie did, although he can be ruthless when dealing with the Jedi, to whom he percieves as causing his current(cyborg) situation.
I like both aspects of his character(pre-cyborg and cyborg). I think he's somewhat of a tragic villain, someone who was caught up in circumstances beyond his control and manipulated into things he normally wouldn't have got involved in.

yeah Grievous would not of even been in the War if Dooku had not said that the Jedi were the ones that put the bomb in his ship.

He was really mad with the Jedi in ROTS. "Jedi scum" yeah, your right it would of been nice to see some kind of backstory in the films. I'm begining to see him as a tragic figure.I do like his character, dont get me wrong. just not in ROTS..but i understand why he talked so much now..he had to taunt the Jedi.
I liked him better in the Clone Wars cartoons.

Yeah, they really go all out portraying Grievous as the 'Knight Slayer' in those series...when I saw them for the first time, I was blown away, I wish they would have shown some of that in the film.

As much as I wished it was in the movie, I knew at the end of the second series why it wasn't in the movie...Mace Windu crushes his chest and leaves him with that nasty cough and weaker, and I agree, although I don't think much more new information is going to come out on Grievous.
But I am looking forward to the 3-D cartoon show, I saw the trailer and it looked awesome!
And no problem, anakin and padme, this is the Grievous fanclub where we can talk about anything Grievous...including his favorite color!
