Just an update to that CW merchandise release date... One of the things in the works is a novelization of the movie (followed by other novelizations of the series), so if anyone's decision whether to see the movie or not depends on how much screentime Grievous gets, you'll now have an early way of determining that.
That includes me, I must confess. I plan to flip through the book at the store, and if for some reason Grievous has been axed from the plot, then I'll likely give the movie a pass at the theatres and wait for the DVD release instead. There's just not enough there for me, aside from Grievous, and I still don't care for the art style...

Share your findings with us, Biddybot. If Grievous doesn't get any more than 5 minutes of screen time I don't think I'll bother either - he's the only reason I can sit through ROTS.

Well, all his scenes and of course the Mustafar duel and Vader's transformation.
Whoo-hoo! MY 5000th post!

Well done on the 5000(!!!) posts, Ludo_Kressh. =)
It looks like Grievous won't be making an appearance in the CW movie, according to this article (blacked out for potential spoilers, just to be on the safe side):
Article posted: Lastly, it's noteworthy that some scenes from the trailers don't appear to feature in the movie. Notably, General Grievous and the superlaser, shown at the end of the first teaser, are presumably part of a separate episode of the TV series. That may explain why Matthew Wood, the voice of Grievous, has been so coy about whether he's playing Grievous in the movie or not--it may be that the character is in the series, but not in the film.

Well, if that's the case, I'll probably just wait for the series to come out on TV.

NUTHIN'S UP! That's the problem...
Heh, actually there is something up...at least one episode in the series which already looks very, very promising...
Check it out!

Grievous actually looks--well--villainous here! (It's the mean eyes, I think.)

Yeah, he does look bada$$ there, I think someone else posted that pic awhile back(I forget who...) I'm looking forward to the series, but I don't think I'm going to see the film in theaters though.

YO Everyone!
Catgirl reporting. How's it going? (( LOL! I'm a poet! ))
I dunno if this has been sent to the thread yet...but I just came across it over on Youtube and I instantly had to view the ending at least ten times in a row! Maybe it's just me, but I thought it to be HILLARIOUS Grievous stuff! Wish it would air either in the movie or in the series!!! That would ROCK!
Have fun watching!

Oh wow, that episode looks really good. Also, GRIEVOUSGRIEVOUSGRIEVOUSGRIEVOUS - need I say more? I was a bit iffy about the way he was going to look in CW, and that picture at the end of the article almost changes my mind.
@Catgirl's youtube video link - I giggled. A whole lot. That was THE BEST THING EVER.

Hey, all. I'm a longtime Grievous fan (longtime being four years ), and just thought I should come on over here and (re) introduce myself to you all (and rejoin the club! ). I have an older account on these forums (Grievous93), though over time I stopped using it as much, and now I have returned with a new account. So yeah, I'm a huge Grievous fan (only reason I have this user icon rather than a Grievous one is because it just looks plain awesome!), and look forward to chatting with you all about his character, and his appearances throughout the The Clone Wars TV series.

This really stinks... Ah well. We've still got the entire series to look forward to.

For those who are into the musical aspect of Star Wars: is it just me, or is the general's music theme in RotS a bit... disappointing? I was hoping for much more than a short, plodding horn/trombone motif. I always felt it should be something very dark and haunting, sort of like Hans Zimmer's Davy Jones from the Dead Man's Chest OST, but in John William's style.

Y'know, Grievous might not have been portrayed in the most flattering way in ROTS, but you've gotta admit that "Dracula-droid" nonetheless got to play with some pretty cool technology. Not too many SW characters come equipped with a flagship, a personal ground vehicle and a personal fighter that they can call all their own.
A very good point.
