Grievous had some awesome lines in tonight's episode, although Ahsoka would have been no match for him :P
Why does the twerp get a headon encounter with him and not Padme? Grievous would make an exception in his usual lightsabre policy for a senator from Naboo, if he's read her memoirs about being a young leader.

I know... I guess that line's an indication that this new version of Grievous really did choose to become a cyborg and that he's therefore comfortable enough with his appearance to be able to joke about the misinterpretations others must have about him from time to time. So much for being 'secretly humiliated' about being a cyborg and flying into a rage when mistaken for a droid!

And while here, toy alert! There's a cute new keychain figure of TCW/Grievous now available. Similar to the basic figurine that's been out a while, but molded all in one piece so you won't be able to move a darn thing. Pretty good quality hard rubber and the keychain portion easily unscrews so you can turn him into a stand-alone figure, if you prefer. I did that with mine and he stands fine all by himself. Because he's high up on a shelf, he also looks like he's reaching back with his upper lightsaber and scratching the back of his other arm, which is a rather amusing notion I wouldn't mind seeing animated in the series (just imagine the sparks flying off his armour as he digs away, hee!). Alas, the image in the link below doesn't capture the best part of him--his long, rubbery, kinda goofy neck which lends him a vague similarity to Space Ghost's Zorak. Don't pay any attention to the price listed in the link. You should be able to get this one for around 5 bucks US at Toys R Us or some other big box store.

There's also an actual PLUSHIE of Grievous out too, but it's so gawdawful that I can't bring myself to provide any more info. You'll have to look for it yourself if you want to horrify yourself further (don't say I didn't warn you)...

Horse-faced?

Biddybot: that song linked to you makes references to stitching something together. I'd like a keychain...

Eww... You found that awful plushie! The only thing that consoles me about it is that Anakin's plushie is, in its way, even worse. Grievous has wall eyes and Anakin has pink babydoll lips. Why, merchandising gurus, just why???

Those are just horrifying, now that I've seen all of them. The Anakin one is sold out?!

Grievous better start winning soon, or I'll start demanding to know where the on-screen lightning punishment by Dooku is. More Trandoshan skewering!

You must live in New Zealand, biddybot, because it says it can't ship the keychain outside of NZ sad ...unless there are other companies out there distributing this piece of lovely merchandise?

Ludo_Kressh: Nah, I live in Canada and got my Grievous keychain at our one and only Toys R Us store. I noticed over the next couple of days that Walmart and Zellers were carrying these keychains too--they just didn't have Grievous--he always goes fast. Should be a common enough item in the USA too. Just keep an eye out for him!

Only a couple of hours away from watching the latest episode, by the way. Thank goodness it looks to be a good one, ie. Grievous has some fun! In the meantime, I've got a borrowed DVD of 'Category 7' playing away in the background. Live-action, made-for-TV killer weather schlock and the CGI effects are so very bad that they make the work in TCW look like it done by Pixar.

You know, I saw that movie in the '2 movies for 11 dollars' bin at Wal-Mart...and I almost bought it. It sounded good, until they mentioned something about terrorists and I was like 'uggh'

Yeah, I could probably get it on E-bay( plain ), but I'd rather see if I can find it locally, if not, I might be able to get it from StarWarsShop.com or some reputable site like it.

Yeah, just watched it and it was good! I hope we can see more of Grievous like that in the future.

Grievous is pricey. I wonder if he used to eat Shoni caviar (aren't those endangered?).

I saw this on TV when it first aired. Great spot! Also, is it just me, or do the narrator and music used in the spot make it sound almost like one of the episode previews for Star Trek: The Original Series remastered found? If you don't know what I'm talking about, go here, choose an episode and watch its preview.

Nice link, catgirl! I wouldn't mind watching the whole thing again, but I'll wait until the DVD comes out and I can watch it as many times I want over and over again. grin

And it's a shame Don LaFontaine is dead, he would have made an excellent narrator for this.

I see what you're getting at Glymphid Warlord...and heck, those remastered episodes look great! grin
