	For me, lightsaber colors have no meaning at all. It's just that they use diferrent cristals... There were sith who used different lightsaber colors. Here are some examples: Exar Kun (blue) Ulic-quel Droma (yellow-green) Darth Bane (red, then purple) And there were Jedi with red lightsabers: Kyp Durron And purple: Kam Solusar And there were Jedi and Sith who used No lighsaber at all. -----signature----- http://www.freewebs.com/alphcomix I love you, Kelsey

	For one- The lightsabers have no elemental background whatsoever. For two- There are only four official lightsaber blade colours, which also have varying shades/tints: blue, purple, red, and green. For three- There is somewhat of a story behind Windu's purple saber. Sam Jackson actually requested that Lucas give him a purple blade, and Lucas accepted. The purple blade along with the gold-coloured materials [which I forget the name of] on Mace Windu's lightsaber handle show his high position of Council Leader in the Jedi Council. Yes, I said it. 	I believe Plo Koon also had a yellow lightsaber in the "Obi-Wan" video game. 	Yoda and Mace and the two ranking officials they are equals on the jedi council. Yoda was only a senior member, as Mace was, but Mace actually was the frontman for the council as a whole. Yoda was tasked more with training than he was with leading, despite the fact that he was also a leader for the Jedi. 	With regard to the "Star Wars" explaination of Lightsaber colors, Wikipedia has a wealth of info an all things SW. "Blue-bladed lightsabers are often associated with Jedi Guardians; green-bladed lightsabers are usually associated with Jedi Consulars; yellow-bladed lightsabers are associated with Jedi Sentinels; lavender-bladed lightsabers are associated with Jedi Healers; and red-bladed lightsabers are more closely associated with the Sith."
