Darth-Vassago posted: It is my belief that Dooku saw the Dark Side as a means to an end. It is my understanding that he wanted what Palpatine wanted, but for different reasons. I believe Dooku wanted to do away with the corrupt Republic, and re-build it into an Empire, or a New Republic, even. He was, first and foremost, a leader. He wanted to lead. This is one of the reasons Palpatine couldn't have him around; Palpatine wanted to be the one in charge, and the type of people they are...they wouldn't be able to co-exsist for long.
