	I never thought of that. That could very well be true. Have we talked of who else might have made a good Count Dooku? I am not saying anything bad about Christopher Lee. You know from my past posts that I love him. I wonder though, did GL always have Mr. Lee in mind for the role? It almost seems like it. Considering the similarities between him and Saruman. But humor me, who else do you think might have worked in the Dooku role? I'm almost tempted to say someone like Ian Mckellen. (OK, I aside from the fact they were both in Lord of the Rings ) Jonathan Pryce might have been interesting but his Dooku would probably be a bit more insane. Considering the fact that originally the second apprentice was going to be a 'Sith Queen' the odds of other choices for the Dooku role are probably low. -----signature----- "I like being bad. 	I was going to suggest Ian McKellen, as well. His role as Magneto is amazing, and his role in Apt Pupil was just great, as well. If he was to be Dooku it would be different, no doubt, but a good different. To be honest, I can't see anyone but Lee as Dooku. It just wouldn't be right. Just like someone else as Tarkin? Oh no. 	It's possible that Gary Oldman or Alan Rickman could have pulled it off, or maybe I only say that because I'm fond of both of those actors. 	Great to see this fan club. I'm a huge Lee and Dooku fan. 	Not to my knowledge. But I don't know much about the EU. I have been toying with the idea of a Fan-fic or Viggie to explain Dooku's seduction. ----------------------- Yeah, I would say Ian McKellen. But you guys are right. Only Christopher Lee really fits. And I agree, Vassago, only Peter Cushing can really be Tarkin. I was just curious as to what you folks thought. 	Lee is Dooku. 	OMG, AWESOME NEWS !!! Christopher Lee (in all his hotness glory), will be THE VOICE of Kingdom Heart 2's Diz. Check out the pic below to see what Chris' character will look like in the game NIIIIIIICE!!! The developers sure are cool to give Chris such an AWESOME-looking character! I LIKE! It is my understanding that he wanted what Palpatine wanted, but for different reasons. I believe Dooku wanted to do away with the corrupt Republic, and re-build it into an Empire, or a New Republic, even. He was, first and foremost, a leader. He wanted to lead. Hmmm...I've read some books that "discuss" how Dooku was seduced by the Dark Side and trained by Palpatine, but i've never read an official book that actually explained it in detail. As for fanfics, there are -- and LOTS of them too ! We actually have some fanfic writers here --- namely Rilwen_Shadowflame and Darth-Vassago and CountessYnaAda ! 	Thanks. My B-Day isn't for a few weeks though. In the meanwhile, isn't Count Dooku awesome? I was just bringing up something in another thread. There is an image of Dooku I just love from attack of the clones where he says "Surely you can do better?" and then grins real wide. I love that. He looks so evil there. 	Count Dooku has some of, if not the best lines in the prequel trilogy. His manner is so different from everyone else, and is so much more interesting.
