Welcome! hugs

Just put Member of The Official Count Dooku/Lord Tyranus Fanclub in your signature or in your bio. peace

This is random, but I love how Count Dooku doesn't change between II and III. Other characters, like the Viceroy, changed their robes, hats, but Dooku is exactly the same, give or take some facial changes. But those are just little details.

Yea, it was so cool seeing him at the begining of ROTS, he was such a familiar face while everyone else had changed their appearance a great deal. Too bad he died five minutes later... sad cry

Yes interesting.

Saruman died after 7 minutes of the 3rd film.
Count Dooku died after 5 minutes of the 3rd film.

Yet Saruman was cut from ROTK at first.

Let us be thankful that Dooku was not cut from ROTS. peace

In my view, he should have been shown on the Bridge of the ship while the Jedi were making their way up to the tower. Or perhaps had a scene with Palpatine. Or both. Then, he would show up to duel the Jedi.

That would give him around 15 minutes of screen time. Not that great, but better than 5 minutes. mischief

Sadly, both Saruman and Dooku had utterly pathetic deaths. With Dooku's moreso humiliating than Saruman's, but the fact remains. *Sigh*...I won't get started.

What LOTR version have you guys got?
Mine leaves out Saruman's fate...
The book is good, but no Lee as Saruman. tongue

The Extended Edition, Rilwen. In it, there's a short "show down" between what's left of the Fellowship, Thedoen, and Saruman atop his tower.

The Extended Editions of the Lord of the Rings movies are really much better.

... and much longer

btw, I read dark rendez-vous(Frech, no?) and I absolutely loved it!!! The complexity of Dooku's character is refreshing compared to a few (or most) of the protagonists on the silver screen.

There's no reason to hate the book. All the characters within are well written, and the overall story is one of the best I've seen.

Hello Dooku fans. happy

From what I've heard, DR is a great book for Dooku people. thinking If only I could get my hands on a copy already. doh! silly

You know I still remember the day I discovered that Christopher Lee was going to be in Star Wars Episode II. I actually had to double-check. I thought to myself "No, wait, Saruman's going to be the new Sith Lord?"

A pity there wasn't much of him in the trailers. They focussed a lot of that time on Anakin. Phht, I wanted to see more of this new Sith especially after hearing that voice saying "You must join me Obi-wan, and togeather we will destroy the Sith." But that's all we got.

Then I started freaking out like "Do you think he could fight as well as Darth Maul?" Well....turns out he fights better than many Jedi. You take on Yoda and stand and you're special. mischief

Wow I loved Dooku. One of my favorite moments was when he used blue lightning. It was so cool seeing that used in a combat situation. applause

Count Dooku Eye Candy. mischief

Not sure how someone could not like Dark Rendezvous; perhaps the person in question just doesn't like Dooku. Or Ventress? Or perhaps the portrayl of said characters. I think it all worked out very well, myself.
