Thanks Rilwen.
Count Dooku is my favorite Sith in the prequil trilogy.
His voice, combat style, and everything else about him set him apart from all other Sith.

His voice is what captured me the most. I absolutely love Christopher Lee's voice.

May I please have your attention?
I have done some user searching, and I have discovered some very disturbing results.
Veraden, the original creator of this fine club has not been on the JC since December of 2005. Cmdr_Gabe_E's last post in here, as well as on the JC Forums was May 29, 2006. I have received permission from Strilo to take over as the new leader of the club.
As of now, I am doing some back reading to learn what has been discussed previously. Please be patient. I will have a topic up soon.

Hello, fellow Count Dooku fans.
I have completed all of the back reading for this thread.
I am ready to hit the ignition and blast off, so brace yourselves. You have a blind person piloting the Count Dooku/Lord Tyranus spaceship.
Anyone wishing to assist me in running this fine club, please PM me.
That person would be Vice President.
Veraden will always be recognized as the founder of this club, and if and when he should return and wish to reclaim his position as President or leader of this club, I will step down immediately.
I have come up with an idea. How does everyone feel about having a Count Dooku story contest?
First, we need to get this place active again, but I thought that would be a good idea.
Your thoughts?
I would like to say that concerning the Dooku Verses Windu duel topic, I believe the Count would win.
I think Mace is highly overrated. I just thought I would put my 2 cents in.

Dooku rocks, but he couldn't take Mace IMO. If he could, why wouldn't he try and take out Sidious which Mace was very capable of doing?

Simple. If Dooku took out Sidious, the Sith (well, Dooku) would no longer have control of the Republic. A very dangerous situation at the least. The CIS was just an excuse for a war, and Dooku would have betrayed them later to join Sidious' new Empire. Then is when he would make his move and usurp power, in typical Sith fashion.
However, despite being a huge Dooku fan, I must admit that I'm not fully convinced he could take out Sidious, either. I think Sidious may have fought Mace half-heartedly anyway, and even Master Yoda could not best him.

I've not read any of the novels. How did his plan differ from what I posted? (If it's about that going on vacation thing, I don't buy that.  )

I didn't mean that it was different from what you posted earlier.
I haven't read the novels either, but I plan to ASAP.
The library in the state where I live has lots of Star Wars books on tape.
I want to request "Dark Rendezvous" and "Labyrinth of Evil".
I have a busy day tomorrow, but I'll have us a new topic posted by Monday or Tuesday. I hope to have the roster posted Monday or Tuesday as well. RL calls tonight and tomorrow.

I know that wikipedia is not the best source for SW information, but I found something interesting over there while I was reading about the Count.
Count Dooku's lightsaber design is inspired by Filipino native weaponry, like the barong. I was in a hurry at the time, so I didn't take the time to study this weapon.
