Here's a deleted scene after Anakin escorted Padme to Naboo after the beginning of the Clone War.

that 'casual' pic! I got all happy thinking the image really
was
from a deleted scene!
I am so willing to
believe
when it comes to these two...
*sigh*
I'm glad there will be a deleted Padme scene included on the 'Sith' dvd. I enjoyed all her scenes in the PT. She is just so awesome that I don't mind saying it more than twice!
Oh and about that 'ship name 'Naberrieans'...well
...that's just my own term of endearment - nothing official of course. We'd need a vote for that. Padme's held a couple of titles, queen and senator, but I like thinking of her as the person outside of and beyond her jobs and duties and even outside of her relationship with Ani. And I like her maiden name. Also, I seem to like the 'n' sound at the end of words lately. Put it all together and I come up with 'Naberriean.' Whimsy!

AN, you must never disregard those smilies, especially the winking ones.
Another things about Padme Amidala. She has never been afraid to die. "My fate, will be no different then from my people", "Im not afraid to die", "and the baby?", "Im going to help Obi Wan" (really, she could have been killed trying this sort of thing).
Notice she then said "maybe I can find a diplomatic solution to this mess". She rather die fighting for the Republic than just sit there. Especially when in this case it (the situation with the Separatists and the TF betrayers) had indeed become a mess!
Last but not least, "let go" of her life, in order to allow Anakin the possibility to become good again. She knows it and in her last breath
convinced
"there is still..."
Sometimes it important what you say, before you die. That's always what comes from your heart
To all who understood Padme and what she stood for here's a

In my paper, I discuss the issue of how death seemed to come up again and again with Padmé, almost as though she is actively courting her fate over and over. One has to wonder if she ever suspected she'd have a short life.

This may have already been discussed but who could get tired revisiting a Padme topic? Not me! So we have Padme as a prominent character in all three PT films (wonderfully portrayed by Ms. Natalie Portman who
rocks!
). How is she different in each film? How is she the same? In looks, motivations, speech, whatever? What do you think, Naberrieans and Amidalans...and plain ol' Padme fans?

One thing that has changed from TPM to ROTS is how the real Padmé comes out from the Amidala persona. She becomes less formal with each film.

RE: All for Padme Amidala!!!!!
Oh, aye, exactly....Amidala was the mask for her, in a very real way - an artificial identity of sorts, one that she had to assume obviously due to her station and what was necessary, at that time, first when she was queen....then later, though fortunately to a lesser extent, when she was senator. Amidala, though, was really little more than a facade for her true self, the person within who needed only the opportunity to emerge and blossom, and to thrive....and truly *live* as herself, free from the constraints and expectations of her when she was Amidala....so she could, finally, simply *be* herself....be Padme. It's perhaps a rare thing when people can do that, but it's also very wonderful....a real gift, and no mistake.
And of course, she's only all the more to be admired, I do believe, that she *was* able to free herself from the demands of her Amidala persona, or figurehead....and to simply be Padme.
And that, of course - aside from being who she was all along, obviously, her heart and soul and real, driving motivation for all the good work that she did, all the fine ideals she held so fondly and highly, all those beings she tried so hard to save and do right by....well, anyway, in the end....she *was*, quite simply, beloved by all those whom she touched, it seems clear to me....adored, appreciated, respected and admired for the courage and love, compassion and beauty that she held in her heart and soul....her words, her feelings, her deeds....and it was *her*, all along....all of it was the real, true her, was Padme. And that's what people responded to, I do believe, what they intrinsically felt from her....even when she wore the mask of queen, then later as a senator....it was who she truly was, and what she did, as *Padme* - no queen this or senator that, just the loving, empathetic, courageous, loyal and understanding *Padme*....who they all came to respect, admire and love.
And no mask, after all, could ever truly hide or otherwise obscure the intrinsically good, pure, tender, warm, compassionate, sympathetic, gentle, brave and beautiful person who she *always* was....all along! Nothing could ever take away from that....I mean, this *is* Padme we're talking about....
Dawn.

I was thinking (well felt so sure about it anyway) that Padme although was Queen, (so she can serve her people) always wanted
eventually
to settle down and be her true self.
But being Queen she had too much of a responsibility for others, thus couldn’t be her true self. She had to show her peers and subjects that she was always in control (to many an extent she was).
But in AOTC we hear from her that she felt she was too young as a Queen (despite not being the youngest) and not ready. Anakin however, was good enough to recognize that she actually did a good job – sweet of him wasn’t it?-, er okay then she proceeded to say that she was glad her two terms were over.
At the same time, when the Queen asked her to serve, she couldn’t refuse. Padme knows she
had to serve
the Republic in some way. However, deep inside she wanted marriage and family (I didn’t need to see the deleted scenes to get that, btw) and eventually she did it; regardless of the circumstances that lead to that (see that as things were deteriorating (Separatists/Genosis). But if she didn’t then (reveal her feelings for Anakin);and this is the crux:
she would never had the chance
- see Clone War. So finally she does marry despite the difficulties, chances of controversy (if found out she married a Jedi).
As we then progress to ROTS, her safety was not an issue (thanks to Miss Padme to reveal this to me)- she shows her soft side, how much she missed Anakin and then the reveal of being pregnant. She knew what that would mean, the Queen would relieve her of her Senatorship.
She was fearful but thanks to Anakin joyful himself “this baby is a blessing”. She believed him and she was right. I would say infact she needed him to say that.
Eventually when things got worse to horrendous –fall of Anakin Skywalker-she continued the good fight. Letting go her life, believing there was good in Anakin.
