	Questions. Why does Padme have 2 last names? 	Padmé's birthname is Padmé Naberrie. When she became Queen, she took on the name Amidala, similar to how popes will often take a new name once they are elected to the post. Apparently Amidala is an honorific she is allowed to keep once her term was up, so she became Padmé Amidala.
