Aaaahhh! Ten more days! Knight_Ander, my rambling thoughts are posted over at the LJ.

LPO, hugs for awful testing. I just got done today doing standardizing testing with my second graders. I'm all for this type of objective testing, but stop trying to trick seven year-olds! Now I have to get ready for CIV and Open House!

Starting to pack!

Got to finish my battlemaiden v 3.0 before Wednesday!

On another note, it turns out I have a screencap of the handmaiden from Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. I just didn't know I had it! I'll try to scan it before I leave on Wednesday.

Hello gang! Just wanted to give the rest of you an update on Celebration IV. Fan Club members had a fun day yesterday at the con, and it wasn't very crowded. Those in that met up were: GentleBant, NabooPop, Lt. Piett, Obischick, Dorme, JediMady, and HandmaidenAnde. No handmaiden news there really...other than the lack of handmaiden stuff. The archive exhibit was rather small with two Padmé AOTC costumes: deleted Senate scene and Family Dinner dress.

In art news, the very talented and kind Jason Palmer finished his Celebration IV print of Pamdé in all 38 of her costumes. Be sure to check it out at his site.

Last night, I took some of the RHS to Hollywood and we took pics in front of key Star Wars landmarks. What does that mean, you ask? We'll post pictures later.

This morning, GentleBant woke up way too early for her Rebel Legion picture. She met up with ObiAnne and LadyEirtae as well as Anthony Daniels. We're getting ready to go to the center and start a line for Opening Ceremonies. Wish us luck.

More news to follow. If there's not any handmaiden news, we'll make it! Wish you all were here!

Yes, it did have to do with the Opening Ceremonies. GenCon, LucasFilms, someone, in all their wisdom decided it would be nice if for Star Wars' birthday, we all got cake, or something that vaugely resembles cake. So, we all sang "Happy Birthday" raised_brow (durr????) and they basically stopped the program in the middle of it to pass out pieces of cake to the 6000 or so people they had jam-packed in there. Of course, it took more than the ten minutes they had allotted or whatever, during which most of the fans just sat there , looking confused and slightly disgruntled, while Stormtrooper #3 and That-One-Ewok-Who-Died-at-minute-114:05-of-RotJ conversed merrily on stage.

To add insult to injury, I thought the cake tasted somewhat like cardboard bread with butter on top.

I do have to admit though, that was the only thing I went to that I was disappointed in. Had more fun waiting in line for that one, rather than actually going into the program.

Will post more when not trying to get ready for work. wink

What's up girls? I just wanted to say that I rented Marie Antoinette recently on DVD. It was an okay movie, but I felt that it was missing lot. The costumes though were amazing.
