Well I have a couple of unfinished fics, and I simply didn't think it was fun to write anymore.

Lieutenant Piett, if you ever need a decoy, let me know. Saw your double at my local train station last week.

Unless you were staying in a town in Kent and were taking the train to London?!

Funny, Sabe126 (hey, how you doin'?) -- I had a dream a few days ago about taking a train to London . . . whoops, looks like I've been astrally-projecting in my sleep again! Thought I was cured of that a few years back . . . wink

Then again, if he's truly my doppelganger, if you see him again ask him if he'd like to go to work in NYCoruscant for a few days out of the week . . .

Yeah, she's claimed to have seen my doppleganger where she works, too. I'm starting to think she lives in some parallel-universe or something. tongue

To be more on topic... TNT is kickin' it old school with Keira this weekend. Yes, before Keira Knightley was Keira Knightley, she was Keira Knightley: Princess of Thieves! It has been a while since I've seen that movie. TNT may play it again some time between Law & Order marathons, so keep an eye out for it if you're interested.

I remember when that movie first came out, I thought it was a film adaptation of a play I was in a couple of years back, called Robin Hood: The Next Generation.

I, ERNurse, pledge my full support to ensure that the RHS threads will continue in a fun but clean manner, in order to ensure our respect to the handmaidens whom we admire and adore.

As an official member of this thread, I will give my 100% support in order to make sure that the RHS continues in a fashion that is acceptable to everyone involved.

I am so happy to find this group. I have been looking for "something to belong to". I am looking forward to participating in this forum. I am starting to work on a "flame" costume. I am pretty new at this, so hopefully, it will be done before C5. Please keep me in the loop!

Jen

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I am an ER Nurse in Indy. I have 2 little jedi, Jacob 3, and Christian, 9 months. I have pictures of them posted on my home page. Jacob will be a Jedi this year for Halloween. He loves his lightsaber!

I really like the handmaidens. They are the strength behind the thrown. I have always said that my ideal job IRL would be a personal assistant - someone who organizes, assists, and accompanies their leader. Their right hand.

I was thinking for my flame costume I would do something a little different. On the sleeves, instead of the lacing, I thought I would put one symbol on each sleeve. The Japanese symbols for bravery and loyalty. I feel that describes the handmaidens very well. What do you think????

Jen

The symbols sound like a great idea!

I have a friend who has an almost 4 year old and a 2 year old with the same names as your boys, only the order is switched. :~)

The flame gown was the first HM gown I made, and I'm still refining it. :~)

Haven't been in here for a while! Welcome to the RHS ERnurse! Nice to see yet another HM fan around.

I was lurking in a WW2 forum today and found a discussion about Atonement. Apparently it's a film based on a novel by Ian McEwan at least partly set during WW2 and with Keira as a main actress. I haven't heard about the film before, it seemed to have premiered in the UK in September, and it's planned for a release in early January here in Sweden.

I know this isn't strictly HM-related but has anyone else been to see the movie "Beowulf"? I just got back from seeing it and thought it was pretty good though it departed from the poem to some extent. The 3-D effect was better than I expected, although the performance-capture process still leaves the people looking a little like video game characters.

If you've seen it what did you think?

I saw it in 3-D yesterday, Pop, and thought it was pretty mind-blowing! I'd have to see it again to figure out what was my favorite part, it was such an incredible experience. I'm not familiar with the poem, so I don't know where it differed. I had an eye-strain related headache for awhile afterwards, but if anybody else gets a chance to see it in 3-D, go for it. I'm willing to bet that the IMAX presentation would be just as amazing as well.
