Wow it's been awhile!! How's everyone been doing? I'm about two weeks away from summer break. I'm so excited, for I'll finally finish my junior year of high school!! 
It is awful quiet here lately, isn't it? I think I'll sleep here tonight, rather than at home. That okay??

Sorry for the long delay in responding, but OF COURSE you can sleep here! I used to do it all the time. :~D
The RHS Hall, in all its splendor and glory :~D is open and welcome for us all. I believe the third room down on the left on the 7th floor has the best view of the Theed River and falls. ;~)

Pride and Prejudice was on TV yesterday, and I must say that Keira is the only thing worth watching in it. I disliked it even more this time when I saw it compared to when I saw it on the cinema.

Hey GentleBant,
I saw your homepage and you have some really cool costumes. How did you do the Naboo symbol imprints? It looks great!
I am about half way through with my flame costume. Yeah, I know. I'm slow. But I am really happy with it so far. I am still spending countless hours staring at pictures and getting new ideas on how to do something. Right now, I am working on the outer hood, then I will dye (and probably die doing it).

Neato! What's in Vegas this time of year? (I should probably know, but I don't....)
OK, anyone who has coveted their own flame gown, a seller I know well and can vouch for unreservedly is selling one on eBay. It's pricey but well worth it!

I saw that auction and was very tempted, but I'm on the move right now and can't spare a penny at the moment. I did spend the weekend trooping at the opening of the Star Wars Exhibit tour in Sweden. I think I got the price for most obsessive photos. The result is this album. From page 2-6 there is basically just photos of the gold handmaiden costume.
I didn't troop as a handmaiden though. I got inspired to redo my battlemaiden outfit though so I can have it approved by the rebel legion.

D'oh! I somehow missed your post, ERNurse...I'm so sorry!
For the Naboo symbols, I acutally just printed out the symbols in various sizes and used those to make stencils out of sheets of craft foam. Then I used a shimmery, darker spritzed-on glittery paint from Joann's. I'm not good enough at sewing to feel comfortable with the real burnout methods, so I used this method instead. :~) My most recent costume pics are over at the Rebel Legion site.
That's cool about the flame gown! Take lots of pics as you go and keep us updated.
ObiAnne, thanks for sharing your album pics. You'll have to give us a "full" report of the exhibit in Sweden; I'd love to hear your thoughts and reactions. The flame gown auction, btw, ended up going for over $200!
