	What if GL made Asajj Ventress Sidious' new apprentice instead of Dooku? I know she was the original idea for Sidious' apprentice but I think she is more Sith like anyhow. Plus adding Maul and Dooku back in.In my version of TPM,Maul gets his arm chopped off,and Obi-Wan thinks he is dead after seeing Maul not breathing.Obi escapes,so does Maul.This is my first post on this board so i am probablly not WAY too good with all this but OK,here's my idea for ATOC and ROTS: Asajj Ventress is Sidious' new apprentice after Darth Maul had failed in TPM.Maul has replaced his severed arm with a mechanical one and is now a Jedi Hunter (like Aurra Sing) and has hired an old politician,Count Dooku to help Nute Gunray form the Confendaracy of Independent Systems.Asajj,not knowing about Dooku's relationship with Maul,who she thinks is dead,helps as she captures Padme,Anakin,and Obi.After the battle in the stadium,there should be an added scene with Mace Windu and Aayla Secura dueling Asajj.Meanwhile,while Obi and Anakin are chasing Dooku,Maul jumps in,shocking Obi-Wan.They should have a long discussion,and defeats Obi.He chops off Anakin's arm saying,"Now you feel the pain just as I."He is about to kill them when Yoda comes in.Maul duels Yoda,with it ending the same result as with the Dooku,Yoda fight.Then,in ROTS,they should bring back Dooku,Maul and Ventress.Maul,still unknown to the Sith,has killed many Jedi,including Adi Gallia(switching her fate from Grievous to Maul).He has connected them to make more double bladed ones,using them for battle also.During the Battle of Coruscant,Anakin murders Asajj instead of Dooku(the same way as he killed Dooku in the REAL ROTS).Greivous escapes blah blah blah, Maul and other Jedi throughout the movie(one fight will show Maul slaying Shaak Ti,just like Grievous did in the ROTS deleted scenes).Obi sent to Utapau,kills Grievous,and at the massacre on Mustafar,Maul is guarding the Seperatists as Anakin arrives.After murdering every Seperatist except Dooku and Gunray,Maul duels Vader.Maul gets injured,and Anakin slays Dooku by chopping him in half,and Gunray like original.Then,Maul gets up and they continue to duel.The duel goes on until Padme's ship arrives.Vader knocks Maul out and visits Padme.The Obi-Vader duel starts. After Vader getting his injury,Maul and Obi-Wan duel to the death.This duel is long with lots of emotions(the same as the Vader-Obi duel just before it),Obi wounds Maul,and leaves with Padme.Sidious discovers Maul and Anakin,both wounded.Sidious gives Maul the right to be their bodyguard.Then he dies in ROTJ in a duel with Luke(a duel on Endor).Luke and Maul are fighting on the LARGE tree houses on Endor.Maul slays some Ewoks,and then Luke chops his saber in half,slices Maul's chest,and Maul tumbles backwards to a loooong fall down onto the grass to his death and that continues the story. I know it was very dragged out but at least I have a good imagination What do you think? -----signature----- Do you know Aayla Secura's boyfriend? 	No I think Dooku's a much greater character and sith (well Assajj is'nt even a sith). 	I know but still Dooku didn't frighten me,and he BORED me.I wanted a new kind a GIRL Sith.When I heard the news that GL turned down the thought of a girl Sith I was very dissapointed.To me AOTC was the worst of the whole series (PT and OT together).He would've been much better as just a politician.He did more political work than Sith work.I just thought it was a good idea. -----signature----- Do you know Aayla Secura's boyfriend? 	There's a certain poetry to the Sith that GL portrayed in the prequels. Maul = pure 100% animalistic hatred. Dooku = grandois, overinflated sense of self. Power hungry. Anakin/Vader = towards the end when he's confronting Obi-Wan in front of Padme's ship he displays Maul's animalistic, anger and then pulls out the grandoise overinflated sense of self that always defined Dooku. 	I've often wondered what AotC and the prequels in general would have been like had we gotten Asajj instead of Dooku.... IMHO Asajj was definately cooler than Dooku. And while her uber-rageful character might be a rehash of Maul, I think she was (at least in the EU) far more frightening and "evil" than Maul ever was. I like her a lot but if it means no Christopher Lee, well, I can't say I like that idea. In my view, Dooku is a fantastic character because he doesn't always look like a bad guy. He doesn't always seem evil. But he is. And he can look scary. During his duel in AOTC he looked so evil in the shadows. I love the way the little bit of light sparkles in his eyes. And the way he says "Surely you can do better." and then smiles real wide like that. It's a nice idea. I have to admit, I have thought about it. 	In the Clone Wars cartoon she was just vicious and seemingly not too bright; an animal like Maul. I'm sorry Dooku bored you, that's quite pathetic. Dooku was an amazing character. Granted, he was given little screen time to be built up as a villain, he was still great. Your opinion of Episode II being the worst is fair, but to blame it on Dooku is just unwarranted. Dooku was essential to the preqeuls, and the Clone Wars on the whole. This is why we didn't see more Maul, and this is why we didn't see Asajj. Why was Dooku essential? He had charisma. You said yourself he'd make a better politician, and that's why he was so perfect. Lucas (for the progression of the story), and more specifically Sidious, needed someone who could rally systems to the cause of the Dark Lord, or steal them away from the Republic, at the very least. Who could do this? Maul? Chuckles No. Darth Maul= Athletic? Yes. Intimidating? To some. Powerful? To a degree. Uncharasmatic? Yes, very much so. He barely said twenty words the entire film, and when he did, they were without impact. Asajj couldn't do this either. A character that was basically an updated version of Maul (based on her role in the Clone Wars mini-series) couldn't fulfill this role either. Again, the list: Asajj Ventress= Athletic? Yes. Intimidating? To some. Powerful? Not terribly, more skilled with a blade. Uncharasmatic? Yes, very much so. Again, she did not have the appeal that Dooku had. Dooku has about him a real presence, an aura of confidence, arrogance, intelligence, and charisma. Many don't like him for the fact that he's old. Lucas went from one extreme to the other: Maul (young, athletic, demonic Sith) to Dooku (aged, elegant, intelligent Sith). The public didn't like it, and were under the impression that "The Phatnom Menace" was Maul. In reality, it was Sidious. Yet, I digress. Dooku was perfect for his role in Episode II because he had charisma, and had the look, and appeal of a real Count and real figure head to lead something like the CIS against the Republic. Asajj, and even offtopic, Maul would've fallen on their faces, and broken character if they did as such. It just doesn't come out that way. Maybe it would have been a good idea to have Asajj in AOTC and ROTS. But in a role much like Grievous's. That way, we could have seen her movie self. 	Looks like you're a huge Maul fan... that sounds like a great idea for a fanfic.. As for Asajj, I wasn't too impressed with her, she had some moves in CW, but I think Dooku was a much better apprentice, Sids wanted someone that could express genteel bearing and civility, he couldn't get that with Maul or Ventress...and as Palpy said, just because he looks boring and staid, doesn't mean he isn't a good villian, actually, I find the best villians are those that can hide their evilness well, they come off being real charming and kind, but in reality are very manipulative... -----signature----- ~hopeless member of the Official General Grievous fanclub~ VP of the Chewie fanclub Be thankful, Viceroy...you have not found yourself in my grip!
