Oh, that does look cool.
I really like my Sideshow Ep 3 Obi-Wan 12" figure with the robe. It looks quite realistic. I remember how concerned we all were when after we ordered it, some crazy pics circulated that didn't look too great. To my happiness, they were false, and Obi-Wan never looked better.
This new Clone armor Obi-Wan is neat, but to me it is always disturbing to see Jedi resorting to a more military look. It's probably mostly me though.

Yeah, it seems to be part of the point, MS. The Jedi were dragged into the war, but I'm not sure what else could have been done. Palps had it orchestrated such so it would work out that the Jedi would have to defend the Republic. It was a no win situation IMO. Sometimes I wonder if they should have just said "to **** with it."

That may be one reason I've got no issue with the armor. The Jedi were in a catch-22. Of course, they didn't know it, but if they fight for the Republic, the Sith win. If they abandon the Republic, the Sith win.

I find the armor so cool
but yeah, it's sad that the jedi had to become generals and commanders in this war... it's like it just wasnt enough for the Republic that they were jedi
... but of course, if the Republic called u know the Jedi werent gonna say no, like arbed said, maybe they should have said "**** that, we aint doing it"
The moment Palpatine became Chancellor, the jedi days were numbered ... much worse that Sidious had help from the inside too

A poster on the PT boards wrote that the Jedi once used battle armor, but relinquished it after the destruction of the Sith. If that is so, then having the Jedi use armor is a nice allusion to what they once were and chose to not be...

What's also interesting is that prior to the Great Sith War it seems like most Jedi wore robes or simply normal clothing.
The Jedi wore armor in the Great Sith War because it had lasted 1,000 years and so the Jedi were probably turning more and more martial as time went on.

Well, the majority of what I collect is just Obi-Wan, but Gentle Giant has the ROTS Mini Bust coming out and the Clone Wars Mini Bust coming out next month. I suppose if they don't come out at the same time all is good. And let me tell you I could kick myself for not getting the AOTC Mini Bust at Celebration 2.
