I believe it is the first sound (not exactly "line") Obi-Wan makes to scare away the sandpeople as he comes over the hill to rescue Luke near the beginning of ANH (which is really a little bit into the film).

Yeah, it's sound he uses to scare the Tuskens. It was originally a Krayt Dragon call, though I think it's since been retconned to be an imitation of Boga.

I always loved it that "Hello, there!" was Obi-Wan's first uttered line in SW back in '77, as it's one of my fav quotes from RotS when he confronts Grievous. Those Jedi are so cool and calm, especially Obi-Wan, I think. Having that line be his first was great and very befitting of his personality.

I didn't get that actually; that he said hello there as his first line of ANH, then have it repeated in ROTS. Symbolical?
