anakin_luver posted:Strange as it may be, I find the first sequence in ROTS (the film) portrays the strength of Obi-Wan and Anakin's friendship better than LOE...maybe I'm just weird that way.
iLoveAnakin7 posted:Yeah I see what ya mean about the military garb. It was hard to get through at most times. I found the overall plot interesting. And of course I'll read anything Ani/Obi these days. Drunk scene!!! LOL. That doesn't help Obi too much considering the fandom thinks he's a drunk of some sort.
EquestrianJedi07 posted:I think the true story of the PT is a combination of two very big things: Anakin and Padme, and Anakin and Obi-Wan. Each relationship was equally significant, and the end of each equally tragic upon Anakin's turn. So, in essence, Ani/Obi is half the story for me. Is it possible to love and cherish both the Anakin/Obi-Wan friendship and the Anakin/Padme relationship at the same time?
anakin_luver posted: I wonder...Do you guys think when Obi-Wan FIRST took Anakin on as a apprentice, he did it solely because of Qui-Gon's request and that Obi-Wan later started loving Anakin?
Alley_Skywalker posted:Yea well Obi-Wan isn't exactly as innocent as ppl make him out to be. Really sad, to me, how the Jedi meant more to Obi-Wan then Anakin. I mean i'm not saying Obi-Wan didn't care about Anakin I'm just saying that the bottom line is that the Jedi meant more to him [Obi-Wan], Also Obi-Wan's lack of faith in Anakin on Mustafar was just...I don't know it POs me, personally. I suppose I can allow that Obi-Wan felt betrayed but he didn't even try to find out the reason WHY all of this was happening.
iLoveAnakin7 posted:I think Obi-Wan was like guys today who are young. A little cocky and maybe a little arrogant here and there. It's like how we do it in the real world. I myself pass judgment all the time on people I don't know before I even talk to them. Then later I find out they are the best person in the world. I think in the TPM we had a case of that. Obi-Wan didn't like Anakin at first because he pre-judged him. But later, after he got to know him, he loved him. It all worked out! After Jar-Jar, who wouldn't be a little annoyed by Qui-Gon's antics? lol
iLoveAnakin7 posted:Ah school. That makes me wonder. If Anakin and Obi-Wan were real people in our world today, what would their professions be? I see Obi-Wan as a professor of some sorts. Anakin as a rock star or something like that.
Alley_Skywalker posted: Galactic Mafia agent Anakin Skywalker has goten the mission of a lifetime. He is to rub into the confidence of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a professor at Galactic University on Coruscant. Then steal some important documents and aquire other important info. After the mission is complete he is to assasinate the professor. The mission starts out smoothly but things don't go as planned...
anakin_luver posted:Oh my gosh ALLEY! Write it! Write it! Write it! Make him have an italian accent, oh god, I would die.
anakin_luver posted: Starwalker! Look whose here...good to to see yah!
iLoveAnakin7 posted:There's also when Obi-Wan ends up high on the gas and fights eerily well. I loved this part. He passes out and then Anakin catches him I think it's telling that Obi-Wan dedicated the rest of his life to helping Anakin's son. Good point. Maybe he was trying to makeup for something. I'd see Obi-Wan as a scholar of some sort for sure possibly leaning towards religion given that the Jedi are a religious Order. Maybe he'd be a Priest who lives up to what they're supposed to be like? Obi priest. Why didn't I think of that? That's perfect. He was already in the JO which is kind of like a relgious order itself. Welcome Master_Starwalker. I see you got the memo
anakin_luver posted:But he's in the Mafia Mrs_Anakin! He's gotta have an Italian accent! Do you mean thread, Starwalker?
