Did anyone else catch the prequels on Spike this weekend? I watched most of TPM and AotC, and all of RotS, for the first time in a while. The duel was so heartbreaking. I started crying just before Anakin's jump, and after the movie was over, I promptly read some mushy fanfiction and reminded myself that Mustafar was really all a bad dream or something. mischief

ha, interesting how that happens. You can have them on DVD and they'll just sit them or you may tae them out for a scene or two once in a while but when they're on tv you just can't resist watching. lol. At least that's how it happens to me.

I watched them, well at least most of them. I missed some parts of some of the episodes.

Hi everyone! I was just reading Shadows Of The Empire.there was this idea of Darth Vader that Luke was the strongest of the jedi(stronger than him and the emperor even).it got me thinking that if Luke IS the strongest, then why in the world is he always the one being saved? Like Han saved him from Hoth's icy embrace,Leia,Lando and Chewie saved him from falling to his death in Bespin,Obiwan saved him from the Tusken Raiders, and Darth Vader himself saved Luke from the emperor's force lightning.what do you think? Not intended to offend Luke,MS.I like Luke too.

Never happened. Anakin never turned to the Dark Side, and he's still in one piece, and not in the scary black suit. laugh

Hey y'all! grin

I'm checking in again...one of my many random postings. I'll try to be here more over the summer -- especially with the movie coming out, we'll have more to dish about. Episode 2.5. Maybe GL was reading this thread afterall LOL tongue

I think I missed Deb's b-day cry , and now I'm super late, but happy belated birthday Deb. kiss

And I don't know if anyone else has read this yet, but I come bearing some info about the movie's plotline.

Credit to IMDB via mousedroid.com:

There is a photograph of a Star Wars The Clone Wars Obi Wan Kenobi package available on mousedroid.com and the text on the back of the package tells us a bit about an event in which Anakin and Obi-Wan are involved.

I've included the package cover text below.

"In order to gain free passage through Jabba The Hutt's shipping routes the Republic has agreed to rescue the crime lord's son whose name is Rotta The Huttlet. Obi-Wan learns that Anakin and his team have found the child and have come under attack by Separatist forces. Obi Wan races to join them on the remote planet, bringing much needed reinforcements to Anakin and his embattled team."

Sounds good! grin

And check out the trailer if you haven't already...you can find the link in the EU section I believe. I saw it youtube yesterday before it was taken down.

It's EU so its ideas can very well be inconsistent with any kin of canon logic, and even logic in general. I don’t believe that Luke was stronger than the emperor and maybe he matched Vader but only b/c Anakin had lost some of his power and such from the whole thing on Mustafar.
Lol, but yea, Luke does end up being saved A LOT. But tha's probably more lack of experience than anything.

Hey, Dee! Long time no see hugs

Ice, I think the slow of the boards was inevitable. Everyone is all talked out, that's why I am so excited for the movie/tv series. We'll have lots more to talk about. grin You just wait.
