Welcome back to the Draft that never ends. It's been killed many times. It's been conquered by n00bs and vets alike. Plagued with drama, and canceled by mods. But it never ends. No, it simply doesn't.
It's the Jedi Draft.
If you're not familiar with the Jedi Draft or with Draft-type games in general ... well, where have you been the past few years?
It's like this:
You sign up. You get assigned an order to draft in. You select a team of 6-8 Jedi/Sith/Other Force users. You send them into battle with the number 1-6 attached to them. I call the numbers out. The judges tell us who wins. We repeat this over and over until we have a champion. That user gets bragging rights, and custom colors, VIPship, and a title for a week. Everyone else who plays gets gamebanned for 24 hours. There's banter, arguments, breakdowns, spam, and fun that go in to this, too.

In case you're wondering, the champion of the previous draft also gets a guaranteed spot to play in the next draft and the first selection. That means KiwiRogue will be back to defend his title, and most of us can guess who he's going to pick first.
Also, we've already got the judges signed up for this round. We've got two former champions, and a moderator who's sick of being gamebanned for losing the game. I'll be the commish this time around, and I'll also be the back-up judge in case any of our judges disappear.
The only real rule change of note is that we'll be using locations this time to give a frame of reference to the battles and maybe help determine some outcomes. What will happen is I'll announce the location for a slate of matches before you send in numbers, so you can change your strategy if you feel you need to. If you don't know what I mean by sending in numbers, go look at some other draft threads to find out. Or if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
To sign-up, just add your name to the list. If you miss out, please don't spam the thread and whine. Post here and add your $0.02 in a constructive way, and/or ask to be put on a reserve list in case someone gets removed or quits.

I went back and checked out the first draft ever, and can't believe that Qui-Gon was secodn overall pick!
My how times have changed...it's been two+ years since Madine last logged on to the boards...sad days...

Yeah, I might get bumped right away too, but I think I might give it a go. Is there any way my team could go to someone who signs up in like the 13th slot (if we don't get enough participants), or something like that, if I end up not having the time to fully dedicate (which I know has been an issue with Drafts in general, and I don't want to add to that problem). Just with track, and getting into a bunch of other activities, I don't know what the rest of the year's gonna look like...

Ken, if you need to drop out for any reason, there's usually not a big hassle to find a replacement GM. the trouble comes in finding replacement judges. So no big deal. Hopefully, you'll have the time for it, though, and we won't need to worry about it.
