I had a question abotu that too. It is only the survivors right. So I assume that it is divided into ground and air battles. But do the winner of air battles help the ground people out?

So, basically, only the survivors compete. Yes, that makes the game more top heavy, but so what. Welcome to the Star Wars Universe where everything revolves around the names Skywalker and Solo.
Basically, your surviving pilots and their surviving pilots have a dogfight outside of, let's say, a Super Star Destroyer. Meanwhile, inside the SSD, your two strategists (the players you benched if you didn't use strategists) are communicating with the entire team, and also inside the SSD the Non-Force and the Force Combatants are facing off (again, just the survivors).
The judges then have the fun job of deciding what comes first: victory inside the Star Destroyer (capturing the strategists) or outside the Star Destroyer (annihilation of the other teams' pilots). If the former, the game is over, and that team wins. If the latter, those pilots are then allowed to join the combat inside the SSD. Again, up to each judge to determine exactly at what point they'll be joining and what they can add to the fray. Yes, it brings a lot more subjectivity into the hands of the judges, but, eh, that's life.
Yeah, it's a little complicated, but that's why we're giving this a trial run first to make sure it'll work. And if not, we can tweak it.
