My mom grew up with Star Wars (she had every single one of the action figures, I kid you not, and we still have most of the comics in a box somewhere, all in slip cases, minus maybe 4 or 5 issues we're missing), so I grew up with Star Wars, too. And while it's not my first memory of Star Wars, when I was really little (maybe 2 or 3) I was watching Return of the Jedi on VHS and I turned up the speakers as loud as they went right as the Rancor roared after Luke fell in its pit. My mom said I cried for hours. Those darn Rancors are scary.

Well, I was born in 1965 and I've been into STAR WARS since before the first time I saw the movie STAR WARS in 1977, which, obviously, makes it the first STAR WARS movie I saw and I remember that first viewing of mine of a STAR WARS movie.
I remember the theater and the location. I remember it being a matinee. I remember the theater being packed. I remember seeing it with a friend, his older and younger sisters, his mom and his mom's friend and her son. I remember us kids sitting a lot closer to the screen than the adults and I remember there being a cartoon shown first, which I can still picture.
And I remember the movie, itself. I remember seeing it. I remember the experience.
It was amazing. It was extraordinary. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced.
I remember my first viewings of each STAR WARS movie.

My first two star wars films i watched were Rotj and Star wars a new hope
I thought it was cool how in rotj everything came together and i always thought it was the first one and not a new hope.
Then i watched a N H and i was really impressed on how much i could relate to Leia and Luke both. How luke was unhappy with his life and he thought if it was brihgt center to the universe it was not it.
rotj was my first and its still my favorite closely followed by a n h and Rots

In the year of 1979, my parents took my sister and me to see Star Wars - A New Hope.
I remember wanting to jump over in my mom's lap when I saw and heard Darth Vader for the first time. I remember feeling sorry for C3PO, because of all the trouble R2D2 had gotten him in.
I didn't like the Sandpeople, Jawas or cantena creatures.
My happiest and most thrilling moment was Luke Skywalker blowing up the Deathstar.
I wanted to hug Chewbacca, and Princess Leia was so beautiful in her white dress and doughnut hair.
Not long after that, Glaucoma took my sight, so I didn't get to actually see anything else Star Wars.
I didn't get to go see The Empire Strikes Back in theatres, but my mom got a cassette of the story for me for Christmas.
I did get to go see Return of the Jedi when it came to theatres, and the wildest part in that movie for me was the speeder chase.
My sister couldn't explain that part to me, because of the fast-moving action.
I got the cassette of the story for Christmas, and I understood those fast-moving scenes better after hearing the narration.
A New Hope is my favorite.

I saw ANH in 1979. I don't remember too many scenes because I was only three years old. I remember the stormtroopers entering the Tantive IV, Ben scaring off the sandpeople when he first meets Luke, and some scenes from the attack on the Death Star at the end.

I remember seeing Ep. 4 for the first time, I was 9, 10, or 11, somewhere around that age range, and I remember asking my older brother at the opening scene, "Which one is the good guy ship?" He said it was the small one, and I thought that was stupid.
