What is the saddest moment in SW?

i think that the sadest moment is when Obi-wan is fighting Anakin, and when Anakin was choking Padme, also when the Jedi are being killed ( order 66 ) is a very sad moment.
They are all really sad, what do you think?

A top candidate has to be the Temple scene, where one of the brave little Younglings comes out of hiding and asks Anakin: "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?"
Anakin answers by igniting his saber, and the poor little Youngling is physically jolted . . . .

Yeah, the desperate and trusting looks on the faces of those Padawans was pretty sad when coupled with the unsheathing of the lightsaber. But personally, Obi-Wan's speech to Anakin after the Mustafar maiming was the saddest. Order 66 is more of a "yeah, take that" moment for me, being a Sith fan and all.

"I'll do what I must"..."you will try" - sad because Obi-Wan didn't even seem to try. Then the scene on the Lava Hill when Obi-Wan picks up the lightsaber and when they have their final words there. And when Darth comes to life and finds out about Padme. On the second time through however, it is the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan say goodbye before he goes off to meet GG because it just is the bitter-sweet final moment when all is well - at least on the surface. Everything gets dead serious after that then tumbles downhill faster than a car without breaks.

I would have to say for me the end of Empire Strikes Back. The saddness of episode III was expected, so it really didn't strike me as sad anytime I've watched it. However, when everything is falling apart for the rebels, Han is in carbonite, the Empire is beating them like crazy, and Luke lost his hand.... just a sad, dark time.

For me the saddest moments in the saga are:
Qui-Gon's funeral;
The moment when Anakin sits alone in the Council chamber and the eerie Palpatine voice; Order 66 (I didn't expect to be struck by it, I was waiting for the moment when my favorites- the Clones kill all the Jedi, but watching the movie something was stuck in my throat); the immolation scene- where Anakin burns; the "birth" of Darth Vader; the end of ROTS...it was sad for me because it meant that "the circle is now complete"...
