Obi Wan is definately one of the greatest Jedi out there. Not just because he's a good fighter. Its because he's wise, and does not allow his emotions to cloud his judgement.
Obi Wan beat Anakin on Mustafar because he flat out outsmart guy. Obi Wan's great tactical skills came into play. While Anakin maybe a better swordsman, Obi Wan is better at thinking things through and using one's strength against them. That's why he went to the high ground, because he knew that Anakin's one weakness was using a slope (he trained Anakin, so he would know). Even then, he pleaded with Anakin to be humble enough to concede defeat, owe up to what he did, and turn from the darkside. But as usual, Anakin's own arrogance and stupidity got in the way. As a result, Anakin got his legs and other arm chopped off when he tried to make that jump, knowing good and well that Obi Wan had the advantage (or the high ground, as Obi Wan put it). He payed a huge price for his actions, as he should have. Its too bad that it took him over 20 years for him to see the error of his ways.
Obi Wan beat darth maul for the same reasons.
The guy was wise beyond his years. That's why I've always felt that Obi Wan was a better Jedi than Qui Gon, even though Qui Gon trained him. Again, being a great swordsman does not make one a great Jedi. Its having wisdom and being a master of oneself that makes one a great Jedi. Obi Wan knew this, and this is something Anakin failed to realise. It took him being in a suit for all those years to realise that Obi Wan was right all along, and to let go of his hate.
Let's face it, Obi Wan is da man!

Indeed GS335, i think that despite the fact that Anakin was more powerful, he was just incapable of mastering himself, which allowed Obi-Wan to find a way to beat him in ROTS... power is useless if u dont know how to use it

Happy monday all
I'm still waiting on any confirmation wether Ewan will voice Obi-Wan for the CW or not... i seriously hope he does, althought the guy who voiced Kenobi in the previous cartoons was quite good

Obi Wan Kenobi = Clark Kent/Superman
I find it amazing that these two characters are so similar. Like Superman, Obi Wan Kenobi is selfless, caring, and compassionate. He's very skilled (both in the force and with a lightsaber), but he does not allow those skills to make him arrogant or prideful. Obi Wan always puts the needs of others above his own and sees the good in everyone. Sound familiar? It sounds like Superman. Superman is extremely powerful but he does not allow that to make him arrogant or boastful. Superman uses his abilities to help people and inspire others to be better people. Obi Wan is the same way.
Not to mention, neither Superman or Obi Wan Kenobi allow personal attachments to cloud their judgement.
That's why Obi Wan is just awesome. He's definately the Clark Kent/Superman of the saga, because both Obi Wan and Clark Kent/Superman are very similar in personality.

Oh man, poor Obi having to watch a bunch of clone troopers sing bad pop music.
I never really saw HSM save for a "music video" on Disney Channel. I refuse to watch the whole thing, simply because I'm sick and tired of all this pop music garbage they show on Disney Channel and the fact that they give every actor and actress on that channel a music video/song when they clearly can't sing, and this is coming from somebody who A) Likes most of the Disney films and Pop Music, especially pop music from the 1980s. /Rant
Though maybe a High School musical like scene will be in the Ultra Super Special Extreme Platinum Edition of ROTS which will be released in 3012. I can see it now:
Commander Cody gives Obi back his lightsaber, suddenly Palp's hologram shows up.
Palps: Commander Cody, the time has come. Execute the *other* Order 66.
Commander Cody: It'll be done my Lord.
Commander Cody: (voice changes to preppy) Okay Clone Boys and girls! Let's sing and dance our hearts out to all the Jedi across the galaxy!
Other clones: Oh yay! *they giggle loudly*
