Now here is some Obi-Wan jingles. Remember my Obi-Wan jingle mention in the 2.0 version of the fanclub?  Well here is one now:
A Kenobi Jingle as if it were written by a very obsessive Obi-Wan fan girl, of course its obviously based on the Oscar Meyer jingle:
My Jedi has a first name,
its O B I W A N.
My Jedi has a second name
its K E N O B I.
Oh I love to stare at him every day
and if you ask me why I’ll say:
cause random obsessive fan girls tend to have their way
with a Jedi named K E N O B I.

How would you rank Obi Wan in the Old Jedi Order?
Even though Kenobi is a step behind Yoda and Mace in terms of skill, I definately think Obi Wan is in the top five in the order. He was a better Jedi than Qui Gon and a better Jedi than Anakin, IMO.
Here's my ranking (Old Jedi Order):
1) Yoda
2) Mace Windu
3) Count Dooku (pre-darth tyrannus)
4) Obi Wan Kenobi (Rots)
5) Qui Gon Jinn (pre-TPM)
6) Anakin Skywalker (Rots, pre-darkside and pre-vader)
As for the rest, its up for grabs.

Well, I tend to rank Jedi by overall commitment to the force and wisdom first (in other words, truly being a Jedi) ahead of saber or fancy force skills. To me, flashy skills isn't the only thing that makes a Jedi a great Jedi. People tend to forget that, and look only at who beat who and who is stronger than who, etc. There's much more to being a Jedi than that. So I put Obi-Wan at number 3 behind Yoda and Mace and most definitely ahead of Dooku who fell, and so in my opinion failed as a Jedi, like Anakin until the end of RotJ.

Well for me, indeed Obi-Wan ranks way up there as a jedi: i tend to place him after Yoda, looking at his entire life though, not just the PT. He achieved so much despite adversity, and to me that says a lot about his character

Considering all that happened to the poor man (the war, losing Anakin, destruction of the Jedi, his way of life), I most certainly always admired his spirit and acceptance of what comes along, comes - and ability to deal with whatever that is with strength and courage.

Just a little heads up. Over at the PT forum there's a new thread where they will countdown the top 100 PT scenes. You send in your top 10, and then they will tally up and put up the most voted ones. Deadline for sending yours in is July 20.
