All the Chewie toys we've seen are tall and lanky. However, the Wookiee warriors as seen in RotS are tall, yes, but very heavyset. Is Chewie actually anorexic, or maybe the runt of the litter?

With all of the walking/running Chewie did during The Saga, he simply was in shape. Would he have had all that energy if he was anorexic? Hell no.

Maybe all of the wookiees have slow metabolism while something within Chewie mutated so he had fast metabolism.
Or maybe Chewie joined the wookiee military and got into really good shape but the military base exploded and he is the sole survivor.

Are you saying the difference between Chewie and the "regular" Wookiees we see is basically the difference between Pittsburgh Pirate Barry Bonds and today's Barry Bonds?

He is just in form. If you compare Chewy with wookies from Revenge of the Sith, he is skinnier. That may be because in OT, wookie specie were treated as slaves by the Empire and he was in exile...stress and all. And he moved around a lot. Tarful has more weight, maybe because he is older.

I remember hearing around the time ROTS came out that Chewie was a bit of a Wookiee runt. I can't remember where it's from or if it's official, but I want to say that it is.

well actually he is very short for a wookie it says so in the visual dictionary and i also heard that he is very young for a wookie and that would also explain a lot.

I bet it's because he's just incredibly fit for a wookiee. I've read somewhere that he has travelled from one pole of Kashyyyk to the other fighting the dangerous beasts of the planet including the Shadowlands.He does lots of running around when he's with Han don't forget. Meanwhile the Wookiees living on Kashyyyk may be strong as heck but they probably also spend a lot of time having incredible feasts, Chewie probably doesn't get his 8 full course meals a day that he would like. So he's not anorexic because to be classified as an anorexic doesn't the individual have to messed up in the head to make themselves think that they are too fat(meanwhile they are skin and bones from years of not eating) it usually comes from years of humiliating harassment about their weight and they take it too hard and therefore it's almost impossible to get them to eat food because they're afraid of gaining more weight. Chewie loves his food too much to give it up. So that's got to be it he's in incredibly good shape because of all the running around he does and the diet Han keeps him on, mainly because of how the checkbook was for the most part, lol.

Chewbacca was like Pac, skinny but with muscles and you coudn't mess with him. Though 2Pac was definitely shorter.
