Thankfully for the group, the generators outside had shield generators and it was those that the creature seemed to be feeding on first. If they could stop it before the shields fell, the generators would be unharmed. A lightsaber was easy to maneuver, but a ship and missiles were far cruder.
Tholme began his attack run, stuttering the nearer tentacle with lasers.

IC Paploo:
The warrior got into gunner position behind the two other Ewoks. These weapons were not too different from a spear, though it took some getting used to translating the pictures on the screen into three-dimensional reality.

As Logray got in the small ship, Wicket jumped on after him. Starting up the small ship was easy. With a wide smile, Wicket asked 'Are you ready?'
Not waiting for a reply, Wicket shot put out of the hangar.

Never had Logray prayed to the gods so hard as he did when Wicket began flying. Clearly he would kill them all. Logray listened as Tholme told them to form up behind and prepare for an attack run. Logray locked in the the target and prepared the weapons for Wicket.

Seeing that his first attack had done some damage, Tholme came around for his second and launched two torpedos at the blackened area of the tentacle he'd hit earlier. He followed that up with his lasers. It wouldn't take long for the tentacle to be severed. It was hanging by a thread now.

This was easy...and fun!, Wicket told himself.
Noticing where everyone else was at, he headed towards the large tentacle. Diving the ship onto a hard right, he put themselves in a great position for direct fire.

As Ben focused his fire, he saw another ship come up from behind and fire u along. "Who in the Force's name is that?!", he muttered, for the ship was flying crazy.
He heard ewok sounds thru the comlink "Oh dear", he thought to himself.
As the two ewoks fired, the first tentacle blew apart.

Logray continued exploring his position and discovered a second turret for the copilot. Grasping the controls, he began firing at the area the others had started. A few shots were all it took before the blacked tentacle fell away from the generator. Logray let out a cheer.
